#115Korean Zombie taking it deep!
Dear Mr. Geroges St. Pierre
Hi, My name is Chan Sung Jung from South Korea. As one of many Koreans who like you as an incredible athlete, I feel like I should tell you that many Korean fans, including myself, were shocked to see you in your gi designed after the Japanese 'Rising Sun Flag'. For Asians, this flag is a symbol of war crimes, much like the German Hakenkreuzflagge. Did you know that? I hope not.
Just like Nazis, the Japanese also committed atrocities under the name of 'Militarism'. You can easily learn what they've done by googling (please do), although it's only the tiny tip of an enormous iceberg.
Furthermore, the Japanese Government never gave a sincere apology, and still to this day, so many victims are dying in pain, heartbroken, without being compensated. But many westerners like to wear clothes designed after the symbol under which so many war crimes and so much tragedy happened, which is ridiculous.
I know most of them are not militarists. I know most of them do not approve unjustified invasion, torture, massacre, etc. They're just ignorant. It's such a shame that many westerners are not aware of this tragic fact. Wearing Rising Sun outfits is as bad as wearing clothes with the Nazi mark on it, if not worse.
Since you're influenced by Japanese Martial Arts, your wearing a headband designed after Japanese flag is understandable. But again, that huge 'Rising Sun' on your Gi means something else.
Many people say GSP is the best Welterweight fighter throughout history, to which I totally agree. This means you have a great influence on every single fan of yours all around the world. And I do believe your wearing 'the symbol of War Crime' is a very bad example for them, not to mention for yourself.
So, what do you reckon?
Do you want to wear the same Gi next time as well?

#120Cathal Pendred will make his first defense of the CWFC welterweight title on home turf this summer.
The recently-crowned champion will put his belt on the line when he takes on Che Mills at Cage Warriors 55 on Saturday, June 1.
Cage Warriors 55, which will also feature a four-man flyweight title tournament, is set to take place at The Helix in Dublin, Ireland.
Pendred (12-2-1) has remained unbeaten in his six bouts under the Cage Warriors banner since making his debut for the organisation back in November 2010.
The 25-year-old Irishman earned his title shot courtesy of wins over David Bielkheden andBruno Carvalho last year, before dethroning previous CWFC welterweight champion Gael Grimaud with a unanimous decision victory earlier this month at Cage Warriors 52.
"Fighting in my own backyard in a venue full of crazy Irish fans against a guy who was in the UFC until very recently, I couldn't have asked for a better way to defend my title for the first time," said Pendred,
"I can guarantee that the calibre of my opponent and the atmosphere the Irish fans will create is going to bring out the best in me."
Mills (15-5-0-2nc) has spent the last two years of his career with the UFC, where he clocked up a 2-1-0-1 record which included wins against Chris Cope and Duane Ludwig.
At UFC on Fuel TV 7 at London's Wembley Arena last month, the 30-year-old Gloucester native was beaten by Matt Riddle by split decision, but the result was later overturned as a ‘no contest' after Riddle failed a drug test.
Mills, who'll be returning to CWFC action for the first time since defeating Jake Hecht at Cage Warriors 38, said: "I'm really excited about this opportunity. This fight will be a war, but I'm not leaving without the belt."Comment -

#121Melvin Guillard not welcome at Team Jackson-Winkeljohn, facing assault charges
by Steven Marrocco on Mar 25, 2013 at 3:15 pm ET
Two months before UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard announced via Twitter that he was returning to Team Jackson-Winkeljohn in Albuquerque, N.M., the gym's leaders voted to keep him from doing so.
Guillard (30-12-2 MMA, 11-7 UFC) had inquired about a potential reunion through former teammates, who then passed word to the gym's administration. The vote was unanimous.
"The Young Assassin" had angered the team in interviews he gave about a move this past year to Florida's "Blackzilians" team, a source close to the MMA team told MMAjunkie.com(www.mmajunkie.com).
Adding to concerns, Guillard has two outstanding assault charges against him from separate incidents in Albuquerque in 2010, records show.
So when the fighter sent his tweet on Sunday – "Im no longer a blackzillian I went back to where I belong Jackson's," he wrote – the team was caught off guard.
"He's not allowed back here," said the source, who asked for anonymity given the sensitive nature of the talks and the team's history with the fighter.
Guillard was unreachable for comment, and his last known management firm, Authentic Sports Management, refused to confirm whether he is still a client.
According to Bernalillo County (N.M.) court records, Guillard currently faces five charges: two misdemeanor counts of aggravated battery, to which he pled not guilty. Three misdemeanor counts of failure to appear in court were settled. A jury trial on the assault charges is set for April 10, where he faces six months in jail for each count, in addition to fines and probation.
Guillard, who burst onto the UFC scene as a cast member of "The Ultimate Fighter 2," most recently appeared at UFC 155, where he lost a split decision to Jamie Varner. The loss put him at 1-4 in his past five outings, which followed a five-fight win streak that had him on a short list of contenders in the 155-pound division.
Despite his recent skid, Guillard is still considered among the best lightweights in the world. He boasts 19 wins by way of knockout.
UFC President Dana White repeatedly has praised the fighter's skill while expressing frustration at his issues outside the cage.
"I've known Melvin for a long time, since 'The Ultimate Fighter,' and I always thought he was a very talented guy and just never lived up to his potential," White said. "He was out there not doing all the right things to become the great fighter that he had the potential to be."
The move to Florida was touted by Guillard as a step toward revitalizing his career. Whether he remains there or finds another home is unknown.Comment -

#124UFC champ Georges St-Pierre lands role in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'
With his knee healed and two recent title defenses under his belt, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is keeping a busy schedule.
That's true both in and out of the cage; the longtime titleholder has accepted the role of Batroc The Leaper in the upcoming film "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." Latino Review first reported the news on Monday.
The film, which is based on a Marvel Comic and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, hits theaters in April 2014. Filming begins in about a month, though it's not expected to keep St-Pierre on the sidelines for an extended time.
The movie is a sequel to the 2011 hit "Captain America: The First Avenger," which grossed $369 million worldwide. In addition to St-Pierre, the sequel stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and others.
The 31-year-old St-Pierre is no stranger to the big screen. The French-Canadian had small roles in straight-to-video films such as "Death Warrior" and "Never Surrender," but this latest role is his first true mainstream part. As MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) reported this past November, St-Pierre is represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which has helped the fighter gain the type of mainstream opportunities that once were rare in the MMA industry.
St-Pierre's character in "Captain America," Batroc The Leaper, first appeared in comic books in 1966. The mercenary is a master of savate, a French form of kickboxing.Comment -

#128look at this stephen bonnar, trying to ride the retard sympathy train back into the spotlight
all these people surrounding this retard just because he is retarded
thats almost unfair to the mma students that are only mildly retarded/autistic, or only slightly defective. If garrett was only slightly retarded then he would just be a bad mma fighter. Since he went full retard he is now a super hero and an inspiration to allComment -

#130But seriously, I have a cousin who has down-syndrome and he is scarily strong. Like I mean I've seen him pick up his step-dad once and just throw him to the floor like Sambo dude did to Vinc Pichel (because his step-dad wouldnt give him more dessert after his Sunday Dinner!). Also witnessed him rip Hulk Hogan's head off (one of the toy things you can buy with the ring and that). We used to buy him all these figures and he'd just chew them to bits. Used to have Undertaker with one arm vs Macho Man Randy Savage with one leg and one ear. Was quite interestingComment -
