The only way I see Miocic losing is by triangle but I think he's a lot smarter fighter than Lavar Johnson and Paul Sass the only way I see him losing is if Matt Wiman just dances around the entire fight and wins a dancing decision .

Does Sass have any striking at all? I've don't remember any of his striking.

Wiman is a decent all around fighter. If he plays on the ground he will get sub'd, but he is athletic, has solid wrestling, and ok striking.

I am a little concerned about Sass's striking or lack thereof.. I was also concerned about the fact that Wiman has never beed subbed... However, Sass handled Volkmann with relative ease. I know that Wiman is superior to Volkmann in striking, but not wrestling. I don't remember any fight where Wiman's striking looked outstanding. If he plays in Sass's guard at all, he will get subbed. The only way I see Wiman winning this fight is if he runs from Sass the whole fight. Sass is good at imposing his will upon fighters, and he subs Wiman me thinks.

Wiman is a tough gritty dude but his striking is not top level, he just throws bombs but it's nothing special plus there is a reach and height disadvantage, Sass has a way of getting guys in his guard whether they want to or not he sort of just grabs something and you can't pry him off of you once he's got you. Then he sneaks something in there and you're done. Given this fight will take place in England and the crowd will be behind Sass and Sass will want to win for the home town.

As long as Miocic doesn't jump into Struve's guard he'll win, he has a good chin on him, he can take some good shots and has the right power to put Struve out. I was impressed with him when he fought Del Rosario he took some good shots and managed to win the fight in a battle of wills. Cash money baby

Hmm Gunnar seems as confident as a human can possibly be and Johnson is struggling with a 40 pound weight cut and sounding like he's regretting taking the fight. Already have Gunnar in 1 parlay but might have to throw him in another...

Yeahm but it's great tht Wiman has never been subbed but also never fought anybody who is as dangerous off their back as Sass. Cole Miller is massively over-rated and the rest of his opponents have not really been guys who offered much of a threat off their back. WIman can be reckless and his style has always been one of grinding and applying pressure which may well play in to Sass's hands.

So Demarques fought @ welterweight his last fight against Swick. What weight class is this fight at? Isn't he also supposed to be on some sort of medical suspension from the knocked out by Swick? Almost seems too easy to just load up on Nelson. Weigh ins in 4 hrs will definitely tell alot.

Fight is at 175lbs, but apparently he is was at 210 last week when he got the call so still a massive cut! Must of just been drinking heavily and binge eating after tht Swick loss! His suspension was 45 days I think (with 30 days no training contact) so he technically shouldnt of started training again until early September. Last time he stepped in on short notice like this was against Sadollah...won first round then completely gassed out and got man-handled as if he was a man-let fighting a 170er. As long as Nelson survives early on he should be good.

Sass fights will likley be similar to Maia fights where he got many subs early in the UFC but as time went on his competition got better and knew what to look for and the subs were less likely
