    LibertyX

I have been banned by Coinbase & Circle. Is the next best option to purchase btc through LibertyX? Does anyone have experience with them or know of a better alternative for a NYC resident? Thanks.

LibertyX is fine. The cost is 1%.

How did you get banned at Coinbase and Circle? Did you get an email from them and not answer?

I was banned from Circle without any questions asked. I was asked questions by Coinbase and I answered in a vague manner like you suggested, Raiders. And that isn't a backhanded remark because you have been an unbelievable source of info for me and others here. Coinbase responded that they wanted to see invoices and other documentation that on what kinds of purchases that I was making with btc. At Coinbase, I was transferring directly to websites and got away with it for a long long time. At Circle, I transferred to a wallet and then to the website but still got caught. Disappointing. Was so easy using these sites to purchase/transfer. Now I am left seeking alternatives. The cost to purchase on localbitcoins.com is prohibitive. I refuse to pay 10%-15% extra for btc. I hope that LibertyX works out. Thanks for your help, Raiders.

Thanks for the information. I try to keep on top of what's happening in the bitcoin gambling world and this helps.

I have had issues with LibertyX with the stores not knowing what they are doing and also the stores charging sales tax on it...Other then that once you purchase it is simple process to send to wallet..aonother option is localbitcoins...I have been using localbitcoins and have done many purchases without any issues and very very easy and super fast releases

All of your bitcoin transactions are public, they will never go away. So, if Coinbase or Circle put a review on your account, they will see all of your transactions to books(even you send to a wallet -> books). I guess you were playing at Nitrogen?

I think that we don't have to send to a wallet -> books, but just don't raise red flags for your Coinbase or Circle accounts.

They aren't supposed to charge sales tax? Good to know.

Yup, was playing at Nitrogen. I think that Raiders mentioned using a mixer so that they can't track the progress of your transactions but I haven't tried that before.

I think Nitrogen should help its players by not tagging its name on players' bitcoin addresses. By tagging its name on bitcoin addresses, Nitrogen indirectly bans its own players from exchanges like Circle or Coinbase. For traditional books like 5Dimes or Heritage, they use third party Bitcoin processors, and I think these processors don't appear like a sportsbook to Coinbase or Circle because they don't tag their names on addresses.

Just change your deposit address at Nitrogen now and then. You can do it up to 5 times a day. They have many different wallets for payouts so that Coinbase and Circle can't catch on. Nitrogen is aware of Coinbase/Cirlce banning accounts and have taken this precaution.

When you use blockchain.info (any wallet), Coinbase can only
guess that you are the one sending to a gambling site.

If you keep buying computer equipment from the same company using BTC, that computer company could be the gambler. Coinbase isn't positive.

If you go Coinbase to book ONE time, then your account is flagged. Coinbase will now assume that you are the owner of the wallet between Coinbase and sportsbook.

Other people had the same problem as you. Everyone should call LibertyX ahead of time for the first transaction to make sure they are aware of bitcoins and know how to use QPay.

So I made my first LibertyX transaction yesterday. Purchased $500 worth of BTC. Was told that with the fee, it was $516 and then when transferred to my wallet, the value was $497 (could have been due to the fluctuation in value). The vendor told me that no tax was charged and that this is the typical fee. But $16 is more than 3% of $500. Am I missing something? Thought it was supposed to be 1% and actually, the first $500 transaction is supposed to have no fee. Or is this the merchant fee and there was supposed to be an additional LibertyX fee tacked on? Thanks to anyone who has knowledge of this that can provide insight. Thanks.

The only store that offers it where I live the workers don't even know how to use liberty x. Very frustrating I can't even use it and the store has it.

I'm not sure why they charged so much since the fee should be 1%. To make sure I went to the LibertyX website and it says to contact support if the store tries to charge.
We don't charge fees for the first $500 transacted if you sign up using Facebook or redeem your PINs using our mobile apps (iOS/Android). After thttps://libertyx.com/#FAQ

One store I bought from charged me 8.75% sales tax on it as they said it was same as a phone card purchase..Other stores have no clue what it is and won't even sell...They need to do a better job informing the stores that there are no add on tax or fees plus tell them what they are. The Web site does explain though but many of these shops are run by Hispanics or Asians who have no idea what they are

The stores know full well that they aren't supposed to charge sales tax. They do it because they pocket the extra. They have a QPay application on their computer and it will never tell them to charge sales tax. They don't charge sales tax when you pay your phone bill either. They only get $2 from Qpay for each transaction. Most of the stores don't know exactly what it is, but it feels shady to them. For them they are processing a money transaction and they know that thus they feel they can rightfully charge extra. I got to know the guy at my store and we've talked about it. I told him to go ahead and charge me $3 per transaction, because it is worth it to me. He said other then Liberty X no phone companies use QPay anymore for their phone bills, so they really don't have any need to keep it around or process transactions for you to make a $2 while taking the risk you are giving them counterfeit bills or something. It's just not worth it to them. I'm very happy to pay a little extra even if it's against LibertyX policy, so that the store keeps the option available to me. The sales tax thing is BS though and you should complain about that, because thats a serious percentage.

I fukin hate liberty x. The only store where they offer it around me is a dam arab/indian store where the clerks barely speak English. I have gone there 8 times and they still do not know how to use it. Every time they tell me manager is no here can't do it sorry. What the fuk does that mean? Why the hell do they have it in the store if they can't even use it? Fuk Liberty X.
