well, here I am needing a 4th to complete a chase for
only the 3rd time in 63 (.047%). The Padres have won 6 straight.
when it goes to 4th, it's up to you guys and your bankroll
preferences if you want to play it or not. Saunders was scheduled
but is now being traded according to reports. So we don't know who
will pitch. I have other commitments and will not be available to make
the wager. Even if I were available, I wouldn't want to risk
a 4x on some pitcher being called up at the last second going
against a team who has won 6 straight.
I am ending the fade and will start these 3 new ones.

so with cards and tigers they are both coming off of 2 loses in a row. Are you pretty much chasing them because you don't think they will lose anywhere from 3-6 games in a row?

yeah i look at the streaks but i also look at the level of competition, and odds. I avoid starting ML chases on teams which are going to be huge favorites anytime over the next 2-3 games, those are the one's I do as RL.
Parity is important, teams which are closely evaluated..
as the season winds down, I've pretty much stopped backing
teams which don't have anything to play for because I don't
trust their motivation.

snow i dont know if you consider things that may happen in mist of a series chase and not trying to mess with your success here as like i said from jump "i knew this would be successful thread" but i thought i would mention that furcal may have been lost for season last night and that has a huge impact on what cards do defensively, with him out at short delscalso i would think has to move to ss and while that guy is one hard working sob he simply doesnt have the range of a furcal, and just as bad is if he moves to short that mean shoe has to replace him at 2nd which is a pretty big drop off as well..with my guy wainwright on hill you wouldnt think this be as big a deal but he has one of highest gb rates in the league and hard not to think there be at least a few balls get thru that normally wouldnt and another double play or 2 get botched, all that leads to waino having to get 4 maybe 5 outs in several innings this gm which id expect him to battle but that may be to much to overcome when you considered cards be hard pressed to plate many of Gio, another downside to furcal out is he a switch hitter while descalso and skip both lefties that gonna have to be in, plus jay and basically all the table setters on a slumping team will be lefty on lefty..you know i luv my cards bro and as mentioned this ur bbq and it taste good, just pointing out something i think may make it worth considering just dropping them before it gets to deep...

i understand, 2da, and I wouldn't be taking Cards tonight as a spot bettor,
but I won't cancel the chase on Gm2 with low odds.. the odds are only -105
so that's not expensive.
if they lose tonight, i won't cancel them on Gm3 either..
that's just how this works.

hopefully they have a nhl season as i would like to follow along, i check this thread out from time to time and jump in on a series but just impossible for me to bet a sport i know like this all yr, luckily i have no delusions of grandeur when it comes to hockey so it be easy to just tag along and count money!!
