I post these plays in the morning. They are "live" as in "active".
As you can see, every one becomes a winner (completed).
Sometimes it takes a few games. Often it's done in 1. Previously, I had been
posting the chases and fades as single threads, but this is better.
Basically, there is picking involved, it's not blind from the beginning, and it's
not system, because I choose (cap) when to begin the chase (on team to win)
or the fade (against team). Choosing when to start the chase or fade is important.
I like to start chases on teams coming to home stands. I like to start fades on teams who are playing over their heads, but not on teams starting a home stand. But that is not written in stone.
The Padres are a team I would usually not fade, because there is no pay on the other side, but now that's changed because they have very hot pitching. I liked the idea of a Rockies chase so really it just landed there.
Every play is to win one unit to start, then if it proceeds to game 2, you add
the amount lost in previous + whatever amount is necessary to win 1 unit.
If it goes to 3, you add amount wagered in 1+2 plus amount needed to win
an additional unit, and so on. I avoid low value chases. You don't
start a chase on a team that is laying -200 for example.
A style like this is only good for the regular season and it has to stop
near the end of the season because then at a point there are no longer
enough games remaining to play chase/fade, and it gets dangerous as
teams prep themselves for the playoffs.Comment -

When do you stop fade/ chase a team? when you lose 3 times in a row? 4, 5?
also, let's say you started chasing a team and you are right now about to do your 3rd bet on them, but today, they are -170 fav. what do you do in this position ?Comment -
ok, a theoretical question. If the chase/fade is up to Game 4+, and the team is a large favorite. That would depend on how deep the chase is into your bankroll. If it becomes too large to finance, then you can just let it go and scratch it as a loss, or you can just bet partial on it; enough to cancel out the losses on previous games, but not risking to win the additional unit.
It is important not to wager too much on the chases. They can pile up
and get you in an overextended situation if you do not keep discipline.
For example tonight's Padres fade is 1/32 my bankroll. How much you wager
on each will also depend upon how many Active chases you are maintaining.Comment -
1/32 I assume it's a pretty big chase, considering if Padres win tonight ** hoping for you that they would lose!!! ** you're going to risk about 2.3/31 next time right? just a rough estimate, unless at some point you indeed cut it as a loss and move on ...
