7.6.12: WC BO Play #9: Mariners-Athletics R+H+E Under 24.5 [-125] Millone has been a straight gangsta on the West Coast. At home, he has a nasty ERA of 0.99 with just 27 hits allowed in 45.2 IP @ Oakland. Millwood tosses for the M's. He's coming back off a groin strain against this same squad. He's been alternately dominating and absolutely blastworthy. He is still allowing less than a hit per inning on the road with a 3.10 ERA. Oakland has allowed two runs or less in four straight. Seattle hasn't allowed more than five in their last ten with that number only being reached twice. Seattle has scored three or less in nine of their last ten with Oakland scoring three or less in eight of their last ten. If Millone plays his playa card at home again, then it's all on Milwood to get us into some sign language tonight.

Nice hit, EP. Chunk that WEST UP!
I was on A's runline, so that walk-off was a good way to cap an otherwise crappy day ... not so much gambling wise. Just in general. One of those days we all have in which a lot of little, frustrating things occur, but at least I got my first runline cover via the walk-off HR of the season. Amazing that it took until July for one of my -1.5 bets to win in that backdoor, extra-innings fashion.
Hopefully this is a sign that tomorrow will be easier on me

7.7.12: WC BO Play #10: Dodgers-Diamondbacks Total Hits Over 18 [-115] Playas gotta take their LA swagger to Arizona for this one. Billingsley against Cahil. Billingsley has allowed eight hits or more in four straight starts. On the road, he is giving up right around a hit per inning with 48.2 IP and 47 hits allowed. In his lone start against the D-Backs this year, Billingsley surrendered eight hits in four innings. Cahill has given up 48 hits in 42 IP at home. He gave up six hits in 6 IP against the Dodgers earlier in the season and has surrendered that number or more in seven of his last ten starts.

7.13.12: Giants Team Total Over 4 [-115] Giants get the 2nd half started against Jordan Lyles and the Astros. Like most of Houston's staff, Lyles has been poor on the road. In six starts, the opposition has scored at least three runs off him in each start and scored four or better by game's end all six times. He has been pounded for 17 runs over his last three road starts. SF comes in with the majority of their offense having done some good things @ the All-Star Game - look for them to keep that flowin' and we get to throw those signs up!

Still think it's a good play, Rodriguez hasn't been nearly as sharp lately. Even if he does pitch well tonight, the stros have one of the worst bullpens in the league. I have the giants run line in this one. Good luck everyone!

I should have known better than to think a pitching change could possibly affect the power of the West Up. Panda comes up big, going running back style on that plate collision to cash Giants TT over 4.
Throw them signs up, EP

Based on what I read in box score, LAD lead 6-5, 2 outs, men on 2nd and 3rd, Cabrera attempts to steal home. LAD pitcher, Jansen makes errant throw to home. Cabrera is safe and the errant throw allows the runner from 2nd to score the go ahead run as well.
Let me ask, had Jansen made a good throw, would they have gotten Cabrera out attempting to steal home?
Nevermind, I just watched replay.
Yes a decent throw by Jansen would have nailed Cabrera out.
Jansen made the bonehead play of the year.
What a shit way to cap off the day in MLB.

Well the guy put himself in the situation to begin with by allowing baserunners, but yeah to give the runs up like that were a lot worse to me than if SD got hits.

7.15.12: Padres-Dodgers Total R+H+E Under 26.5 [-130] Marquis goes for SD and he has good #s against the Dodgers, really limiting the two big bats of Ethier and Kemp who are a combined 3 for 38 against him. He has been decent as a starter for the Padres, only getting beat up on the road against Arizona & Colorado. Capuano has been brilliant @ Dodger Stadium with an ERA under 2.00 and only 46 hits allowed in 56 IP. Unders have hit in seven of his nine home starts with an average of just 5.44 runs per game combined. The bats were a surprise for both teams last night in a 7-6 game, expecting this one to be more in line with a low scoring LA afternoon tilt. Sign in!

7.17.12: Astros Team Total Over 3 [-115] The homeys on the West Coast haven't been enjoying their late nights too much, but tonight it is SIGN TIME. Astros get Ross Ohlendorf @ PETCO. Ohlendorf was chucked for five runs in 3.2 IP against Houston @ Minute Maid Park in his second start of the season. His two spot starts have been poor with eight runs given up in just 8.1 IP. In all, Ohlendorf as been scored on in all six appearances this season either starting or out of the pen and has looked hittable. Houston obviously struggles at times to score, especially on the road, but this is as good a spot for them as possible. They need to get the big hit w/RISP - something they failed at last night in a 2-0 win. This team might be anemic, but throw a band-aid on that cut and get those wacks on Ohlendorf. If they get those runners on tonight, playas gotta play.

7.19.12: Yankees-A's Under 8.5 [-130] All the true playaz know about Oakland and their propensity for UNDERs @ home with 29 of 46 cashing in that direction. The West Coasters should feel comfortable with AJ Griffin on the mound with three of his four starts going UNDER. Kid is no fluke as he shut down the potent Rangers @ Arlington and has yet to give up more than three runs in any start. Garcia has looked rejuvenated upon reinsertion into the Yanks rotation. In three starts, he has yet to give up more than three runs and all three games finished at eight runs or less. Oakland has only scored more than four runs in two of their last 15 @ home. If Garcia can keep that streak intact and Griffin follows his path to success so far ... then this should be a tight, lower scoring affair where the playaz get a chance to finally throw them damn signs up again.

7.20.12: WC BO Play #17: Padres -106 Marquis v. Pomeranz on the West Coast @ PETCO. Two equally crappy teams, but the Fathers are getting into the W column more regularly of late with five wins in their last six. Pomeranz has started twice against SD with the Padres coming through with tight wins both times. Colorado has dropped four of five and are just 2-4 in the last six meetings with San Diego. Let's do some sign time tonight!
