EP36's West Coast Base-Bail Out Plays
So I found the team total thing to my liking and doing decently with that, but wanted to challenge myself to come up with one solid play for the West Coast games if there is one to be found. Do what you want with this information. God speed to those who tail. Much fail to those who don't and for the rest of yooze, throw your W up and get some.

    Challenge Accepted.

    6.29.12: WC BO Play #1: David Wright Total Hits-Runs-RBI Over 2.5 [+120]
Wright has massive career #s against Aaron Harang with 10 hits in 18 career ABS. He is also hitting a stout .409 on the road this year and .399 career vs. the Dodgers, including .337 @ Dodger Stadium. Bail out - WEST COAST!

      6.30.12: WC BO Play #2: Red Sox-Mariners Total Hits-Runs-Errors Under 25.5 [-125]
Even though Beckett is just coming back from a DL stint, this Mariners offense is stagnant. They have just one run in the 1st two games of this series and have scored one or been shut out in five of their last six. Boston hasn't exactly hammered the ball with five runs through two games with four of those coming off solo HRs. Even if Erasmo Ramirez gets hit a little, I think Beckett + the pen can do enough to limit Seattle.

Believe will have one for the Dodger game also, so maybe a double BAIL OUT night!

7.1.12: WC BO Play #3: Yu Darvish Total Strikeouts Over 6.5 [-140]
Yu gotta pay a little to get Yu here, but he has been the at home this season. He has 7 Ks or better in five of seven home starts and has 29 Ks in his last 23 IP. He has faced Oakland twice. He was wild in a loss to them on the road where he walked six batters. At home early in the season, he whiffed seven in 7.2 IP. The A's rank 5th in the majors in K-rate for lineups, while Darvish is 4th overall with a K-rate just under 10 per 9 IP. Even though it's in North Texas, we've got a WEST COAST team involved, so throw them signs up.

Yeah I know. I always say Bovada obviously has its pluses and minuses, but the K prop is a large prop IMO. That's the only place I consistently see those listed.

For the true WC playa ...

                      7.1.12: WC BO Play #4: Mets-Dodgers Over 6 [-110]
You crazy cracka! Sho' nuff, but Dillon Gee starts find a way. 11 of 14 have gone OVERs this season and not a single one of his starts hasn't had at least six runs involved. Kershaw will obviously limit the Mets some, but he usually gives up a couple at minimum. In fact, in five of the last seven he has given up three minimum. The honus is going to be on a sagging LA offense to touch up Gee some. They have obviously been horrible lately, but LA will be getting a look at a hittable pitcher for the first time in several games.

Cash bail-out play No. 3 in the fifth inning. Darvish absolutely dealing with 9 Ks already.

EP, these bailout plays are an amazing concept. Hope you can keep it going with the Dodgers-Mets over.

Make it triple West-Coast bailout, as I also had A's ML. West Up, b****!

I'm glad I could find that Darvish prop on Bovada, because Bookmaker comes up short with the MLB props.

Nice! Yeah I mean Bovada has plenty of faults, but the K prop alone is the reason I have kept money there. I did a thread on that prop for a while to start the season. The only bad thing is the props are usually juiced to hell ... hence why I had a winning record, but was negative units. I feel better making the K props as spot plays now rather than trying to do it regularly.

Fo' the discerning playa lookin' for that WC BO, Reds-Dodgers. Bailey v. Billingsley. Billingsley has given up 27 hits in his last 17 IP and is giving up better than a hit per inning @ Dodger Stadium this season with 52 hits allowed in 44 IP. Bailey has been better on the road, but comes in having allowed 21 hits in his last 17.1 IP. He's scuffled in his last two starts and has given up at least six hits in 12 of his 15 starts. LA comes in off their best offensive night - albeit with lots of error help - with seven hits and eight runs. Reds need to do work in this one to give it the best shot, but if Los Dodgers can bang out another seven or so ... should be throwin' those signs up at night's end.

The true playa has to pay a little juice to get a squeeze on the books. King K has whiffed seven or better in nine of 14 starts this season. He has two dominant starts in a row with 23 Ks combined and he has K'ed 30 over his last three starts. He has only failed to strike out seven in two of his seven home starts. O's rank 6th most K-prone lineup. If he gets a quality start of 6-7 IP or better, it should be in line to throw them signs up by game's end.

To be a playa, sometimes you gotta scooch in off the West Coast to Arizona where a West Coast team, San Diego, is poppin' in for visit. SD ranks 7th in most Ks by MLB lineups and Ian Kennedy averages a shade over 8 Ks per 9 IP. He has owned the Padres in his career with a 6-0 mark in eight starts and a 1.95 ERA. More impressive, 68 Ks in 50.2 IP. In his last four starts against SD dating back through last season, has has whiffed at least seven SD batters per starts. He has at least six Ks in five of his last seven starts. He's had some issues at home, but has still managed to go 6 IP or more in five of seven @ home. D-backs are looking to him as the stopper tonight as their pitching has struggled lately. If Kennedy can manage to go at least six, there should be a chance for us to throw them signs up tonight.
