haven't booked anything yet, spladle. strongly tempted to take day off, but similarly tempted to make something of my few leans. given post-work commitments, i'll have to book anything by 5 pm EST. and i always posted anything here as soon as i book it - public shaming for losses is my best money management technique.

how bout you take advantage of the card being tough to beat and instead...you surprise your offspring and take 'em to the park and actually PLAY a little baseball or basketball with 'em...it's a bet you can't lose and it pays of wth positive odds that accelerate exponentially the more you take it...

by the way, splay, this wasn't directed at you...i'm in one of those "life pondering" moods and was similarly lookin' to "fill my card", when the "can't see the forest for the trees" nature of it hit

i do not cap horses. similar to NBA, i only play tails of people that i trust. pacocn is passing on Derby this year because of triathalon. however, i'm going to track with group of guys, and dude who organizes this get-together is way into it (his whole family is). he sent me spreadsheets that i cannot even begin to comprehend, and i live in excel. i'm just going to throw three bills into the pot (to match the three bills he's bringing) and let him manage it and see what happens. however, i will ask him to give me his picks ahead of time and post them here from my phone for the edification of all if that would help.

not crazy about A's, but like O's and Pirates and like Braves a lot. will probably be on Braves.
