The opening lines were originally tested against Pinnacle. Not sure which book On3 has been using, but I think TB opened too low.

question for anyone who has access to backtesting software. i think oklahoma was able to help out last time. there is a "66% best pitcher" system out there that seems to have had good success this year (46-23). chillidog and a few others have referenced it, but i havent seen any backtest. does anyone have the numbers on this system?

take the team whose starting pitcher has the best record against the opponent. in the event of a tie, take the pitcher with the greatest difference between wins and losses. the third tie breaker is most wins. no chase. straight up record this year is 46-23.

for example, today we have ted lilly who is 8-3 (+5 rating) against the padres all time -- so the plays is on the dodgers. in 2nd we have tim wakefield who is 12-8 (+4 rating) against the indians all time. now if wakefield was 13-8, we would take the red sox.

ok i see how it works, but I dont think its possible to do searches like that through sdql. and i have padres tonight so double bummer.
also after looking at ted lilly and tim wakefields records against their opposing teams the records i got are 8-4(Lilly) and 6-3(Wakefield). where did you find their records?

In case anyone is hunting for plays. I am ALL OVER the Phillies today. Will probably play them for 5 units. Might also dabble a little two-team parlay action with Phils and the Under as well.

Any caveman could just look daily and bet a fav over a certain amount... But some are lazy and that is where you come in...leave me out of your babble in other threads...sure wallco 's system is down 50 units...but why bring me up in it?
