im going to play the LAA series. with the precautions we are taking with the +.500 overall/+.500 home record filtering out plays, i think a 2 game series with a +.500 team with an Ace on the mound tomorrow is a safe play. damage will be minimized with the labby if they do lose two in a row.

I think Angels is a good play since they are in a tight race with Texas for getting into the playoffs.

That is a good point G! Home Ml favorites are overpriced their the roof right now and during this time of the year it becomes really unpredictable. Just make sure to not chase and secure your profits.

good point. maybe we should revise some plays that are priced too high (i.e. TOR at -185 even though they are 13 games away from a playoff spot).

i will institute some additional filters on the next round of plays.

Guys...exactly...if you are up start to think about securing profits...it is like a fish hook (the high odds) and the books want their money back!

What I am suggesting can be done in several ways...

#1 A set amount risked per series...decide before hand and divide into the three games...if the odds are showing little or no return pass...

#2 Play half the amount or risk you normally do when then odds are over a certain amount you set...say -200 for example...this would work even with a labby...

#3 look ahead...usually odds are out for the second or third game of a series late in the day...make sure if you are betting a -200 team today and know tomorrow will also be -200 build that amount in...(the risk)

Seriously being prepared instead of walking into a situation like this will help...do not be scared to take a series loss even if you win a game...

Sometimes knowing the odds of not just a game but the whole series will give you a general indication when you can expect this "trap" the books set up and wait patiently for you to walk into.

A perfect example would be that 4 game series right before the allstar break last year...Texas heavily favored in all 4 I believe by the 3rd game Lee was pitching and it was something like -300! Texas ended up being swept by the Orioles and if I did not look ahead at the rotation and matchups and adjust according...It would have been around a 30 unit loss! Been there done that...never again...was ready and you should be too...
