I have 3 local books, total credit $17k. Two of them are settle at $1000, the other are settle at regardless of balance.
1 of the book using vietbet site, which is exactly same line/option like 5dimes (they even let you play NFL teaser up to 19pts I believe, lol), really happy with this site. The other two books are lousy lines, but he "hold me a lot of money..........if you know what I mean ) I will need to continue to suck it up and play with him, hoping to get my money back.
Nowadays, most of local are using some type of online platform such as Vietbet, or betphoenix, they are advertise everywhere in Asian newspaper, you can grab them at any of Oriental supermarket.

BetJM didn't stiff anyone. They transferred all their customers to Heritage and i believe the greek. I just took all my money out of Legends, the book I made my SBR pro deposit as well as Bodog. I'm not risking this crap anymore with NFL coming up. Who knows what the US government has planned.

If I want to bet with a local next year, do you have any suggestions for how I go about finding one? I only know of a few friends who bet and they are online bettors as well. Is it something I just need to ask about until I get lucky and find someone? By the way, I'm in chicago

go to a local sports bar - get into a chat with someone as you're cheering for a team, and then ask "hey, do you have money on this game?" something like that should work. dont come cursing me out if you get arrested.

I am not from the states (makes it slightly easier to get away with overseas), but would just go to a sportsbar on a big game night and ask someone where the Bet Counter/Betting Window was to place a wager (always on the home team of course!). When they explain there isn't one, the following conversation is innocent and easily opens the question of where a wager may be placed locally.

Placing the bet itself is however apparently illegal I go to Vegas on my trips to US however, so much easier to solely do it there.
