I'd be VERY surprised if the Rays aren't able to come up with at LEAST a wildcard berth. Hard to predict them winning the tough AL East, but they are almost a shoo-in for an AL wildcard.

They might not win the East, but they're going to be pretty close. They will make the playoffs with a wildcard berth though. Too talented not to. They will either finish 1st or 2nd in the AL East, depending on the Yankees.

Rays are winning the games right now that they are supposed to and putting them in the bank. This is how they will continue to build and cushion their lead. The starting 5 are off the charts and several roster moves were made within the past 24 hours.

4 vs Red Sox
5 vs Orioles
2 vs White Sox

Basically, only 5 wins of 24 have come against quality teams.

The AL east should end up something like this:

If the Orioles start playing better baseball, the Rays might find themselves at the very bottom when it's all said and done.
