#3190So how are we doing with adjusting the system? I like the no sub .500 teams, bet on opening lines for pitcher not action. I know it has been thrown out there about not betting the same team twice?Comment -

#3192good luck arizona and everyone else
I am impressed with how positive this thread has been for the whole year so far
very few negative remarks and mostly positive which is amazing especially since falling off the cliff right before the all star break
I say we shoot for Monday on a new system and if it gets done sooner then that is icing on the cake.
I personally haven't had much time this week to even think about it
I should be able to put time into it this weekend.if not beforeComment -

#3193to get the ball rolling here is a starting list off the top of my head of possibilites
- no sub .500 (.450, .475???) teams
- no teams above a certain odds (-250, -275, -300???) to reduce risk, or -1.5 if above a certain odds?
- adjusted money management system focusing on first two games of chase like G suggested. May include eliminating the D bet or at least reducing it a ton.
- opening lines only
that is off the top of my head
I need to go back and read the past 2 pages to make sure I didn't miss anything
please feel free to add to the suggestionsComment -

#3194What about an RPI filter like what "John Morrison" does for his chase system?Comment -

From what I hear Morrison has not done too well this year...do not base to much on one filter... I have tons and still had texas too... Leaning to heavily on RPI would not be the best idea.
Reduce risk when you get to your "C"...
Develop a better system to pick highest fav of day... (maybe use higher rpi of the two). Whenever you guys had two close ones there is to much confusion on actual pick...go with higher rpi, better record, best head to head...decide something so you are all in agreement...
List 2-5 rules set in stone so everyone is on same page... I still say the Texas series was rigged...and there is no system to figure that out...by now several of you have probably heard someone who knows Lebron said he threw a few cavs games...not a surprise from the "king"...Comment -

#3197I like the RPI suggestion and I will also look at both of the opposing teams road records if the dogs are on the road for those games and choose the one with the worst record (provided there is a distinct difference)...
MY reasoning is ... if you have two Favs with the same odds and you have one dog that only wins 30% on the road and the other dog wins 48% of its games on the road...which dog might have the better chance of losing the game?...it doesn't always give me a clear choice...but it helps...same thing if you are using the RPI...sometimes there will be a distinct difference and other times it will be close...Comment -

#3216Ok things get interesting tonight. Atlanta opened today at -191, however Florida opened at -230. Florida is a sub .500 team. If we use the sub .500 rule Atlanta is the play, original rules Florida is the play. FYI Florida is playing Washington and has Josh Johnson on the mound 9-3 record with at 1.70 ERA. This is one is a tough call.Comment -

#3217That is why you guys need a set of rules... It is a tough call... List 5 rules to avoid confusion...or just the modifications you mentioned. Or just keep the system the same... that will have to be decided today... GL guys I had last night off and it would have been a break even night anyways for me GL with your decision.Comment -
