I took them on the -1 today since I wasn't chasing for the series so I got a push

going with basically a mini chase while jumping in on the C bet


taking NYY -1 for a unit and willing to go tomorrow for a 2 game chase if needed


This is basically a C bet except for it is the first bet in the series and bet as an A bet for me. I am betting that they will not get swept after losing the first two, not to mention the big pitching advantage tonight.


Also betting against them losing 4 in a row overall or 5 tomorrow. A 68% winning team should lose at most 4 in a row on most occasions.

It's going to be expensive tomorrow, but I'm comfortable with Carpenter going for the Cards against Bud Norris. Norris has pitched one good game all season, and it was almost a full month ago. I might take the RL to keep the costs down.

Not really. Lohse isn't a great pitcher, and it showed tonight. What really gets me is how poorly the Cards are playing in the field. I mean, five errors in the last two games? Hopefully they clean it up with their ace on the bump tomorrow afternoon.

Which is exactly why you'd want to play the RL instead of the ML. -120 instead of -270? I think I'd rather do that if I'm playing a lot of C bets.

I am sure his record will reflect the correct numbers when the time comes.

So play the Cards, and if they look like they're in good shape play the Giants. Otherwise just play the Giants in their next series against the Astros as your C bet.
