#603REV, or anybody.. will somebody please lay this out for me in an example. i know the instructions are on the first page but i'm not quite clear on how you guys do this.. i'm very intrigued, though.
so here's one of tonights games:
orioles (bergesen R)
mariners (fister R)
if we take mariners -1 RL and we win, what happens next?
if we take mariners -1 RL and we lose, what happens next?
or, what if we took either team just on the ML. what would the next move be?
sorry, i just want to make sure i understand this system. i'd love to give it a shot.
thanks guys!!
The Series and Situational Systems are based on a chase. In your example:
if we bet the mariners on the -1 RL and they win by 2 runs or more, then we win that series and we are finished with it
if we bet them on the -1 RL and they win by 1 run then we push, and will evaluate the next 2 games to decide if we will play further.
if they lose the game, then we will have a B bet on the 2nd game to win back the amount we lost on the A bet plus the desired profit.
same goes for playing the game on the ML, except it will either be a win or a loss.
hope that helpsComment -

#604appreciate it guys. I was thinking $2500 to be safe but wasn't sure. I want to play along side you gentleman beginning Thursday when the next round starts and see where it ends up after Baseball season. I hope you don't mind me tagging along to learn something new. Ive got to figure out which book i want to use for these wagers. I currently have 5Dimes, Diamond and Greek that I use for my regular sports and horse wagering. I think I will go ahead and open a new account with Matchy and use that account for this system so I can track results in one account. Ill be ready to roll by Thursday.
look forward to the ride.
glad to have you and all the other new guys that are showing up and posting. this has been a great thread so far this season with lots of great input. lets keep it that way and keep the wins coming!Comment -

#605Khaden, great question. I am trying to work through how I want to play the rest of this series. This is a 4 game series, and I like Colorado in todays game and in the 4th game. I am unsure on the 3rd game. So lets hope we win today and get this series behind us.Comment -

#606My money management strategy has always been to recover a Bet C loss
by absorbing the loss thru future upcoming series.......
When I lose a C Bet...it was just to recover what was lost at Bet A and Bet B
...so when I win a C Bet.....my W/L for that series is 0$...which is just fine..
I attach a certain pct of a C Bet loss to my upcoming stronger series even though I may have to wait a couple days for the right recover series that I want..... but it has always
worked out in the long run.....
And.............Rev....you are doing a helluva job !!!
i like your money management program. i am constantly trying to work through various ways to manage the bankroll in this system. It is a work in progress.Comment -

#608Rev I see a lot of people are getting on the Nats bandwagon and they got you again last night... Also I notice the Pirates have played well early... Doubt either one keeps it up. I am not playing the Col/Was series did not fit in my system...but hopefully you get them tonight in your "B" bet.... go Rockies...Comment -

#612I wanted to say something about today's picks and the systems I am playing in general.
It is clear that I have a number of Situational System picks going today. Please understand that I am evaluating these picks in light of the 3 game series that the teams are playing. I am not saying that my picks should or will win game 1 all of the time. I hope that is the case, but it is not always going to play out like that.
If you are new to this thread, my Series System picks have been hitting on the A game almost every time. If I was evaluating the 2 systems, they would be the "safer" play, but it just so happens with this current round of series, we have a large number of Situational System plays.
Thanks for the input and encouragement guys. Lets keep it up and look to have a great evening with our plays!Comment -

#613Rev, I was wondering in a case like today with the amount of situational system plays does your system predict which series is a stronger play?Comment -

#616Rev-
today, I've got:
A Minn
A TB
A FLA
B SF (Only going to B like you suggested)
B COL
I'm going to chase NYY if they lose today (I think they might, pitching matchup stinks for them IMO).
good luck today,
JohnComment -

good question. this is another aspect of my system that I am still trying to work through and maximize. because I dont have the money management aspect completely dialed in yet, I am betting to win the same amount on each series. With that said, I understand that there is an abnormally large number of plays going at once today, so if I had to pick the 2 weakest, I would say those would be:
Yankees and Brewers.
I thought about waiting to see if the Yankees lost tonight and then chasing them after that, so that would be an option, but just understand if they win tonight, the series chase is over.
The Brewers is a pick for me mainly because of who they are facing during the series. They are facing a pitcher with a 12.5 ERA and and then one with a 14 ERA. The Brewers have started slower than most expected, but they can swing the bats.Comment -

#619i like your card for tonight. i was close to holding off of the Yankees tonight to see if they lost, but I still feel like they should win tonight's game, so i included them.Comment -

#620no problem at all. i want this thread to be constructive. i was a bit timid playing the brewers, but my job as a capper is to go into each series unbiased and run the games through my filters and breakdown the pitching match-ups. at the end of it, the brewers are the much better team and are facing 2 pitchers this series that should not be in the major leagues. i see them breaking out of their mini slump and continuing to hit and score like they did against washington in their last game.Comment -

#622I like tonights matchup in favor of the Giants. Sanchez is an all or nothing type pitcher. He was great in his last outing. I dont like giving advice if I am not risking my own money, but I would feel very comfortable playing the Giants tonight, knowing that tomorrow's game is a "no play" because of the matchup.Comment -

#628I wonder if Colorado will be distracted by team president Keli McGregor's untimely death today. Should we filter out games like this in light of extenuating circumstances such as these? any thoughts?
