It's not a question of whether the system is good or bad because the system does work. The only thing we have to decide in this forum, is which plays that we should chase and which plays are just not worth taking the risk. There where numerous people after Pitt lost the first game that clearly stated keep chasing them at your own risk so it was our choice whether to keep going with the system or just stop with that A loss and put a bit more on St. Louis. I personally stopped yesterday after that B bet loss and am going to put a bit more on the A bet for the Cardinals tomorrow.

The way the Cards are playing the last few days, especially the bullpen, I'm not exactly drooling at the prospect of laying very much on them. Since Houston all the sudden seems to be playing better. The Pirates have been one of those teams that I can't get involved with. They never do what they are supposed to do. Don't ever play a system play for or against involving Pirates. Glad I quit after a small A bet.

You know whats funny about the Pirates. Before this Houston series they just beat the Phillies 3 out of 4 games, INCLUDING coming back from 5 - 2 against a solid pitcher in Contreras and winning 8 - 5. Go figure!

Im not mad about the money, it was a small bet. Heres the point when does a system not become a system when there are so many exceptions to it. Systems are meant to me more plug and chug then examaining every permutation and then using hindsight bias to bail out the system for not working. I gave it a try, lost a few bucks, and decided its not for me. I hope it works for everyone perfectly from here out but once again a system with a lot or even a few exceptions is not a system.

That's why I said the Pirates are just one of those teams to avoid at all costs. They are heartbreakers.
