I wouldn't say he's been terrible all year. In his last four appearances, one of which was a relief appearance, he's 2-2 with a 3.32 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP, 2.29 K/BB, and a 7.58 K/9 ratio. It's not necessarily ace material, but it's not bad. Tonight could tell whether his last start against the Twins in which he gave up 5 runs in 5.2 IP was an aberration or whether his good stretch in the three previous games was an aberration.
