Well. Looks like the other 3 of my bets are going to hit tonight. Seattle pulled it out. Philadelphia is up by 7 on Milwaukee. And the Red Sox are shutting out the Royals 4-0. I'm going to need these, especially if Ole Miss doesn't stop playing like sh*t.

Thanks! I'm only going to be putting up two bets for tomorrow, as I'm on the Mizzou Tigers for tomorrow night.

I'll be putting one pick up tonight, and one tomorrow afternoon. I have a feeling you'll be wanting to challenge me for those 20 points back.

                            Picks for September 25, 2009:
                            1. Braves RL (-110) (Vazquez vs. Lannan) (Risking 11u; to win 10 u)
Vazquez has pitched remarkably well in his last 3 outings, going 3-0 while only giving up 2 ER over 23 innings. He's been a good pitcher all season and his season ERA is sub 3. Expect him to pitch well here, especially against the Nationals. The Braves will be facing a southpaw who's 9-12 with a 4.07 ERA on the season. He pitched well in his last outing against the Phillies (3ER, 7IP), but don't expect him to repeat that. Look for the Braves to get to him early and tack on a little more to their already taxed bullpen.

                            2. Arizona ML (-145) (Scherzer vs. Correia) (risking 9u; to win 6.21u)
Max Scherzer will be making his final start of the year for the Dbacks. Look for him to have at least a quality start. He's going to give it all he's got tonight, especially against a team he knows he can dominate. Correia is a quality pitcher, no doubt about that. However, his ERA is over 100 points higher on the road (4.65) than it is at home (3.63). I'm expecting him to give up at least 3-4 runs here as he faces the Dbacks on the road. Look for Mark Reynolds and company to take care of the Padres no problem.

Just for fun: 3 team parlay:
                            Braves ML (-190)
                            Dodgers ML (-200)
                            Arizona ML( -145)
                            Risking 1u; to win 2.87u!

Remember: If you think that i'm not going to win these bets, and want to put your "points" where your mouth is, Offer me up some SBR points in my thread. Odds are i'll take you on. Just make sure I have the amount you're willing to wager in my account!

There will be one more pick tomorrow afternoon. Enjoy!

I would say the Phillies ML looks good tomorrow. They have their #2 ace going. So expect the Phillies to hit Parra kind of like they did tonight, but I'm thinking the Brewers might tag Cliff Lee a little and make the game a bit close.

The Twins, not so much. I'm actually favoring the Royals ML. They have a good young pitcher going. Probably not much of a book on him. I'm sure the Royals will play somewhat tomorrow. But if I were to go with anything for that game, i would choose the Royals' RL.

Also, it's looking like my 3rd pick will be on the Cardinals ML tomorrow. If the Cubs win tonight, Look for Carpenter and co. to shut down the Rockies tomorrow to officially clinch the NL central.

True about the Twins, but I will never back the Royals unless Greinke is pitching. About the Cards tomorrow, I liked the Cards, but I think the Rockies have ability to turn hot anytime and if they do, Cards will lose. So that is a risky game to bet on IMO, there are better games to go for... BOL though!

I agree with the Rockies turning hot, but I don't see it against Carpenter, or even Wainwright this series. You're basically facing the Cy Young Winner/Cy Young runner-up (or vise-versa) in back-to-back games. Expect Holliday to do something big returning for the first time to Colorado.

I just want them to clinch the division and get it over with. I also hate to go so far back for stat analysis, but dating back to 2006 (The last time Carpenter was healthy), his last 3 starts vs. Colorado he's 3-0 with 21.1 IP and only gave up 3 runs (2 earned). He's been lights out all year. But that's my $.02. I'll make it official tomorrow afternoon. Feel free to take me up on a SBR points wager.

I have to get to bed. I have Cards postseason tickets to buy in the morning.

                                                    3. Cardinals ML (-155) (Carpenter vs. Cook) (Risking 10 u; to win 6.45u)
Aaron Cook will be making his first start in 34 days against the Cardinals' potent offense. He will be held to a 60-70 pitch count, with Jose Contreras the most likely candidate to come in and pitch long relief. If this should be the case, look for the Cardinals to put a W all over this one, as Contreras' season ERA is well up above 5. Carpenter & co. will be looking to officially clinch the 2009 NL Central as the Cubs won last night. Look for their playoff lineup out there tonight as this is going to be a very possible NLCS/NLDS matchup. Carpenter (dating back to the last year he was healthy, which was 2006) in his last 3 starts against Colorado, he is 3-0 with 21.1IP and 3 runs given up (2 earned). Expect him to have another strong outing today against a team he shouldn't have too many problems against.

This looks like a pretty self-explanatory bet here. Haren's last start vs. SD (In San Diego) He pitched 8 innings and gave up only 2 earned runs. I'm looking for something the same as that, if not better since he is pitching in his home park. LeBlanc has been solid since being called up, but don't expect him to be able to dance with Haren. Haren should shut them down and the Dbacks should get him a couple runs to get the W for this one.
