The Red Sox have certainly gotten their share of national media attention over the past week. To a lesser extent, so has Matt Garza. Nonetheless, Garza comes into his start against Boston on Tuesday with a little added distraction. It shouldn't do much to dull his history of success against the Red Sox, though. The Rays are 5-0 in Garzas last 5 home starts vs. Red Sox and are 6-1 in Garzas last 7 starts vs. Red Sox. Conversely the Red Sox are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings in Tampa Bay and are 0-4 in Lesters last 4 starts vs. Rays. The Rays need to win game 1 of this series and they know it. The Rays are 4-1 in Garzas last 5 starts during game 1 of a series.

Nothing on tap for me on the afternoon games. Really i dont like much today but i will have a few posted for the evening games. I was leaning over for the cards game this morning but there is a huge under ump calling balls and strikes so i layed off that one. GL

I like your plays i just think that the Phillies are the best play on a weak board tonight. De LaRosa struggles really bad against Philly and the Rockies havent had to much success playing in Philly with a 2-7 mark L9. The Phillies are 14-3 L17 as a home fav and 6-0 in game 2 of a series.

As I said weak betting board tonight. Was thinking the rays again but not going to push my luck going against Boston on B2B nights. I do like CWS but not enough to make it a play. GL

With the Cards and Astros going down this morning it goes back to what i said in a earlier post to be carefull wagering on early start time teams just to have action on a game. I say that because the Cards and Astros were probably the public wager today and they lost. I was real close to not even posting any plays today because the card was horrible in my view. If you took a loss this morning i would be carefull laying alot of juice on a game tonight trying to get even for the day, that will really hurt the bankroll. Gl to everyone just my view.

Minnesota sends Blackburn to the bump tonight against the Indians and Carmona. The Twins are 5-0 in Blackburns L5 starts against the Indians. Meanwhile, the Indians are 1-4 in Carmonas L5 starts against the Twins. The Twins are also 5-0 in their L5 versus the American League Central and the Twins are 4-1 in Blackburns L5 starts during game 3 of a series. The Indians are 1-4 in their L5 games as a home underdog of +110 to +150. I see the Twins rebounding from last nights 8-1 defeat to the Indians and winning game 3 of the series heading into Detroit.

I could write a page on why i like the Twins tonight. I just try to do a little write up with a few past trends and facts to go with the play.

I have recently become carefull what i type in the write-ups so now i keep it short and sweet and just add a few stats and trends. No those arent the only reasons i made them a play.
