I'm on the cubs RL as well today. i wish i could have that one back though, with Soriano, Ramirez, Theriot, Soto, and Fuld all on the bench. Milton FREAKING Bradley is hitting cleanup

And given the past 100 years... god clearly isnt a cubs fan.

I will choose Rockies RL or Cards RL... What do you think is the better play?

Cards often killed my RL because they won by 1... But they're hot at home...

Rockies didn't play well the last weeks... But they've the Mets as their oppenents...

Leaning Rockies... Would you agree?

Wow...talk about nail bitters today. The Cardinals whooped the Brew Crew but the rest of the games....wow! Yanks 3-2 going into the top of the 9th and open a can of whoop ass on the Orioles. The Rockies tied 2-2 going into the bottom of the 8th and score 3. The Cubs get a two run homer from Lee in the 4th for all the runs in the game. Finally I decide to parlay a day that actually comes through.

Wasn't sure if I wanted to pull the trigger on these two but ultimately decided to. Kinda feel like I'm playing with found money with the parlay coming through so if these both drop it won't bother me all too much. Of course I wouldn't be playing them if I felt they would lose. Here's my writeups for the early action.......

Brewers/Cardinals
The Brewers have been in a free fall and although Para has pitched well against the Cards in his career he has struggled in his last 3 starts, 2 against the Pirates and one against the Nats. Smoltz has been great in his two starts since joining the Cards but those games were against poor teams in the Padres and Nationals. Smoltz carries the risk of getting lit up but he also is possible of throwing a gem. I will take my chances on a mediocre performance from Smoltz the Cards offense carrying over from last night.

Mets/Rockies
The Mets have kept the first two games of the series close late in both games before the bullpen ultimately led to their demise in both. Marquis has struggled in his career against the Mets and lost his last start against them in late July as well as his last start against the Giants. However, prior to the Giants loss Marquis was 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA in his previous 3. On the flip side Misch pitched well in his first and only start of the year against the Cubs before the pen blew it. However, the Cubs offense is inconsistant to begin with and Misch in his career as a starter is winless with an ERA over 6. With Marquis looking to tie his career high in wins with 15 and the Rockies locked in a tight wild card race I see the Rockies winning big.

Games I like for tonight but not sure if I will play them or not....

I needed that. I'm not having a good day and now that I'm 0-2 for the day I will cut my losses and look forward to tomorrow. The rest of the games I like today can go either way so I am done. BTW - Your post did help me decide not to place any more action.
