Not with Carpenter they're not Wilforth. Carpenter also owns the Dodgers lifetime and a rookie is going for the Dodgers. The reason the line is at 7.5 with a rookie going is because the books expect Carpenter to give up maybe 1 or 2 runs tops.Comment -

OK....here's my reasoning on my picks for today....
Cardinals ML - Carpener's career numbers against the LAD 4-0 with a 2.18 ERA. The Dodgers just dropped 2 out of 3 to the Dbags scoring 9 runs last game to salvage a win. Over their previous 8 games they have an average of .229 and have lost 6 of 8. Haeger for the Dodgers had a cup of coffee in the show last year and had an ERA of 16.62 in 4 relief apperances and a record of 11-6 with an ERA of 3.55 in AAA this year. The only thing I don't like is that Haeger throws throws a knuckleball. However, I will take my chances with a former Cy Young whose having a great year where his teams offense is on fire against a struggling Dodger team. The line is a little high for my liking but I feel confident with this paly.
Yankees RL - Although Burnett's career numbers against the A's aren't great, Burnett has been tough over his last 9 starts and the bottom line is that Brett Tomko is throwing for the A's. The same Brett Tomko who had an ERA of over 6 last year and an ERA of over 5 this year as a releiver for the Yanks. Even if Brunett wants to be a walk machine tonight I can't see the Yanks offense not lighting Tomko up. The A's offense has been better as of late but they still dropped 2 out of 3 to the ChiSox and scrapped out a win against a struggling ChiSox pen. Now if Burnett is one tonight (whick I think he will be) it's going to be tough for the A's to get anything started against him, especially in a pitchers park. I feek at minimum the Yankees win this game by 2 but really think this be a laugher.Comment -
