Here is why: Though Min relievers pitched 58 pitches (3 pitchers) yesterday and 204 pitches (8 pitchers) over the last 3 days, Clev relievers pitched only 27 pitched yesterday and only 124 pitches over the last 3 days.

Yes it was close, but because of Clev this did not make my cut as a Reliever Play, still considering it for a Regular Play.

Good luck tonight, DD. Glad to see you on the MIN/CLE over. It's the only play I have right now, and I'm about to post it on my thread. Here are my thoughts:

The over is 6-2 when Cleveland returns home from a road trip. The Tribe averages 6.5 rpg in those games, and the totals in all 8 games are averaging an even 11 rpg. The over is 8-4-1 when these two play this season, and is 6-1 at Cleveland. Cleveland hitters have a .885 OPS against Santiago in 119 PAs, and the Twins hitters have a collective .756 OPS against Bauer in 155 PAs. Bauer and Santiago were each blasted the last time they faced tonight's opponent.

Like your analysis as always. I am glad to hear we are on the same page.

Here are my reasons: Most stats favor the over, the starters have high ERAs and WHIPs. Though not a Reliever Play, the relievers pitched a combined 328 pitches over the last 3 days, using a total of 16 pitchers and the relief staffs have an 8.51 ERA combined. Wind is a non factor (in from right center at only 6 mph but a low Air Density Index of 62). Over ballpark and I capped it a 11.1 runs.

Only wished we knew the home plate umpire at this time

Good morning,

Yesterday's Regular Play is the classic case where so many factors are lining up one way the outcome goes totally the opposite. Even the umpire, which did not get listed until an hour before the game, was an over leaning umpire. These are the days where handicapping is the most frustrating for me. You spend a decent amount of time evaluating the information and the game plays out in the polar opposite direction. Just saying..................

We, like many, are nearing the end of our baseball season. This will be a day to day decision.

One thing I will say, there never seems to be a shortage of Reliever Plays.

The Regular Play for Wednesday afernoon:

AZ/SF over 8.5 -115

I liked this one better at 8 earlier, but I'll take 8.5.

We have over starters, over weather (13-19 MPH out to center), over umpire, relievers pitched over 100 pitches yesterday combined and more stats favor the over than the under. If this one loses, that will be all the Regular Plays for the season.

As I posted yesterday, if the Regular Play lost, it would be my last Regular Play for the regular season. It lost,

so there will be no more Regular Plays until possibly the Playoffs. We end the year 118-78 +27.60 units. I wish we could have ended on a winning note, but it was not from lack of working hard to handicap these last few days. Still a respectable 60.2% for the year. We had some tough breaks/luck throughout the season, but we had some good breaks/good luck also. My philosophy is that good or bad luck and/or breaks all even out over the course of time.

We will continue to post Reliever Plays on a day by day basis. If they keep winning, we'll keep posting.
