I have won so many close games this year...with Atlanta leaving 8 men on base in 8, 9, and 10th inning they deserved to lose. It would have been much more of a heartbreaker to have been on the Phillies who actually took the lead in 9th. Lidge has been very erratic blowing 9 saves....glad I passed on that one...

Well hopefully everyone is ready for tomorrow... I already placed my play on Atlanta. If you are following the system... both plays move to game #2... The books need a night like this...we cannot expect every night so it to be so easy!

I don't know why...but when I limit my games to 1-2... I always do better, even on a losing night does not seem so bad.

Atlanta lost the game because of their bats... Also Soriano comes in, in the 11th strikes out three in no time at all... and I thought would get a second inning this being so important...nope....in comes some bum to blow the game!

I liked Florida and the system just would not allow them in... The Mets are really bad!

As far as your Phillies loss goes..that was a tough one... They need to get their late inning relief together...obviously Lidge is extremely erratic..

The yankees no comment....their pitching staff and park usually make their games hard to predict especially against a team like Texas.

This is a year long winning thread... Very hard to find people betting as small as me up over 10 units. Also this thread started at day one of the season and is still around. Tons of threads, some have made as many as 4-10 threads! Every time they start losing bam... a new thread...Of course there will be losing days, maybe this will be the first losing week who knows?

The system picks lost on a walk off homer in bottom of 9th in Pittsburgh and the Braves lost 2-1 by leaving eight men on base in the 8,9, and 10th inning. The system has no way of picking up on stuff like that!

Hopefully they both hit today.

Actually the system picks quite a few road teams...the winning percentage is not as high when backtested with filters. But there were actually road teams being posted earlier in season, I called it system #3, to avoid any problems. The picks are posted back in the thread somewhere... I believe system #3, was 3-0 or 4-0.
I eliminated it because someone said it was to confusing... But when I get all the filters agreeing as they did in this case, I will be including... But the road teams might cause a few more losses within series but should still win a game...

Wow...are they folding up or what? Great start to game and they just give it up...

On the bright side... the Phillies look like a winner...but of course I just had the Braves... I think this is system #2 biggest single game loss... Looks like a losing week for the system... because I only count what I play... So the Phillies win will not go in my record...

I could not even watch the gamecast any more in Braves game...marking that one a loss in series and the Phillies a win...

I probably will...just this series starting to remind me of the Mariner series system #2 lost... Teams with good pitching and no hitting....might need to add a few more filters for next year...

I'm on the Braves for game #3, G. I am also stunned that they gave away game 2, with so much on the line for them. But I just can't imagine the Padres sweeping the Bravos at home.

Been watching your system for over a month, began tailing some plays, and tailed both the Braves and Phillies this time. Must be my jinx that hexed the Braves, hope it won't hold true for game 3, since I have Martingaled this baby to the letter (small units grow big with 3rd bet).

As I have said all along...I will not make the same mistakes I did with system #1... I am not doubling up on the losses in this series... per the rules posted in post #429.. I will follow the rules...try to cut my series losses and hopefully the system wins tonight...

Yes that is exactly what I am saying! If you or anyone is really following the system... at this point we accept a loss and move on!


We would bet as posted in thread #429...all the rules are in there.

I never would tell someone to keep doubling up and losing a ton of money that is not what this system is about or how it has survived and won...

If you are continuely doubling on the "c" bet you are headed toward big trouble... For those of you doubling again hopefully you are betting a very small amount...Your bets do not fall in the rules of the system.

With money management and this thread...the conservative chase system there is nothing wrong with accepting a loss once in a while...will the system win tonight? I do not know... I expected a loss once every 12-16 series...so yes we are due or close to being due for another loss...

The system calls for pulling back and accepting a loss...even if the system actually ends up winning tonight...

The odom system suffered a massive loss after what a week or two? This doubling and doubling again and again has nothing to do with my system at this point..

Good luck tonight guys...but even if there is a loss this system will be back tomorrow, will be up in the area of 10 units or $1000 and will continue on till the end of the season...

I knew that G, but I wanted a re-confirmation of that. I am losing anyway with ATL, but I hope the loss will be cut today and not get bigger. I did the same with JM's picks, but there I was wrong because the C bets always won (except 1 that he won't admit) so betting C less than A+B loss or skipping C, I lost good money in there!

G, I did overbet Atlanta tonight, but I also countered with a couple parlays involving the San Diego +220 ML (if those hit, you'll see a thread about it) that are hedging my bet on the Braves.

You are absolutely right about the system being designed to win over the long haul, not having disastrous results. When I saw Odom's C bet was on the Cubs today, I about crapped my pants. Counting on a horrible, struggling Cubs as a big favorite against the resurgent Nats. In fact, one of my parlays on the Padres included the Nats at +190, which I thought was a great value.

Anyway, will be following you tomorrow and taking your advice about reducing risk on the game 3 bet (hopefully we don't have another one)!
