Thank god I only played one game today. Literally every other game I was considering playing is going down in flames. After Wood went down with a stomach bug, I loved Braves as a home dog. They're down 10-0 bottom of the 5th. Cardinals was the other game I loved.. KC has hung 5 on em after 3 innings. I was really digging Oakland, they're down 2 runs.
There were so many games today, but I just wasn't in love with the card. Lesson learned- gotta keep picking my spots wisely. Just because there's tons of games over the weekend it doesn't mean I gotta make 4 or 5 bets each night.Comment -

Kluber at -122 is awesome. That line is a gift the more I look at it. He's finally turned in 3 consistent starts and he's looking more like Cy Young Corey Kluber than fantasy baseball bust Corey Kluber. Paxton hasn't been too bad either, 3-2 record, 2.68 ERA, 1.23 WHIP. However, Seattle is 4-5 overall in Paxton's 9 starts. Cleveland is heating up, just knocked in 12 runs to avoid the sweep against the newly energized Rangers squad. And they've got guys who can hit lefties. As a Tigers homer I hate to admit it, but this Cleveland team looks pretty legit to me right now.
The Athletics play is more of a Sabathia fade than anything, Yankees 3-6 in his 9 starts. Graveman hasn't been lights out but Oakland is 3-2 in his 5 starts. A's only 6-16 at home, so I may just hold off and see how the line moves. For a good enough price I'll take Oakland, but at +102 I'm not seeing enough value just yet.
Braves 11-13 on the road, the only real reason I'm even considering that is Shelby Miller who has been absolute money this year. Braves 8-1 in his 9 starts. Another interesting trend - Shelby Miller starts have gone over once and under 8 times. CC starts have gone over 4 times and under 5 times. That total is set at 8 right now, under -125. I usually don't like to pull the trigger on totals until I see the weather, so I'll be looking at that.Comment -

I expect Farmer to do well actually. His name is Buck. He's a straight hick from Georgia. I saw him pitch relief at Comerica in September I'm pretty sure and he seemed like an average bullpen righty. Word is he's got a new pitch this year. He learned some kind of sinking 2 seamer and now he's mowing through AAA. Last 4 starts in Toledo had a 1.80 ERA, 18 K's, and allowed 18 hits across 25 innings.Comment -

As much as I'd like to throw it on the updated card for Thursday, I wouldn't feel right about it. I don't want to develop a reputation as a scumbag or a liar.
I'll be sure to be more adamant about getting my plays posted in my thread before first pitch in the future. So far it's the only one this season that I've missed. Certainly would have helped my daily numbers quite a bit, but I would rather there were no questions about my legitimacy whatsoever.Comment
