OK! I have come into this forum for one purpose and one only. To give and RECIEVE advice on picks and matchups. Im not going to talk shit or even give others who do the time of day. I am simply looking forward to getting on here everyday after much time spent researching the games for the day and posting my picks. You tell me if you think i make a bad pick, just back it up with a why. Im not the best in the business, if i was, people would pay me for my picks. But I do a lot of research and even look at some pros picks for a little lean this way or that. Im looking forward to everyones advice and would love for everyone to have one hell of a year.

Not to bad yesterday. Won 2 and lost 2, but i hit the parlay(x2.5). I cant believe the Yankees. They had some chances, but their starters in the first 2 have done aweful. That was just a bad pick. The Orioles pitcher was making a debut and did amazing. We need to close out the week with some type of win streak, so im going to look over everything and my picks will be up soon. 4.5 and 2 yesterday with 4 - 1 previously, we arent looking to bad.

        8.5 - 3

        Det ML Loser
        NYY ML Winner
        Bos ML Loser

        Good Luck to everyone

Ok, this is what it looks like to me. Very, Very, weird games today.
                    Early Games:
W Sox vs Tigers: everyone and their brother must have just jumped on the Tigers when they got their first break at work this morning cause the line has shot up from - 140 to -175 over the past hour. With this being said, i may swing my pick to the W Sox. This game is up in the air. No play
Indians vs Royals: Royals are alot better this year. Renovated stadium and all. They have a good group of young guys who can hit the ball and the Indians haven't done anything early on. Clev is a strong club and they know when its time to turn things around. Look for them to do that today: Pick Indians
Rockies vs Cubs: I know for a fact the cubs have a better team, but anytime a team is getting +195, you must consider. And the Rockies arent too bad with the Cubs always having those days where they just look aweful. Maybe today is the day. Ill put them down for a .5 Unit. Pick: Rockies
R Sox vs A's: Hurt me bad last night, but im going to stick with the over in this one. Wakefield may be on, but if not A's are good for 6 and both bullpens are used from last night. Pick: over 8.5
St. Louis vs Backs: I liked it last night and it was good till a 3 run job in the bottom of the 8th, so im going again with a little more insurance. Pick: Under 10.5

                    So Early Picks:
                    Rockies +195 .5 Unit
                    Clev -125 1 Unit
                    R Sox/A's over 8.5 1 Unit
                    St Louis/Backs under 10.5 1 Unit

Looks good to me. Rockies shut down the cubs and THATS WHY YOU HAVE TO PLAY THESE UNDERDOGS sometimes! Clev held of KC while the Red Sox took care of business with the over hitting even after Wake takes a no-no into the 8th. Bad pick on the st Louis/backs under but i still would take that with the pitching matchup.

                        On the day we finished:
                        Rockies +195 .5 Unit Winner + .99 Unit
                        Clev -125 3 Unit Winner +3 Units
                        R Sox/A's over 8.5 1 Unit Winner +1 Unit
                        R Sox -110 2 Units Winner + 2 Units
                        St Louis/Backs under 10.5 1 U Loser -1 Unit

                        Wednesday:
+ 5.99 Units for the day games

                              Wed early games:
All road teams, but i like what i see.
Florida/Atl : Florida+120 They are hot, and underdogs, let it ride.
Clev/NYY: CC doesnt like pressure and he may get boood in this one, plus WAY too many points: Clev +195
Houston/Pitt: Houston +120 Lose this game. Houston wins the pitching matchup for sure, so look for Pitt to have their second bad day in a row.
St. L/Cubs: Big game. St. Louis has the pitching matchup and hitting matchup easily in this. How can you go the other way: Home field maybe, but St. Louis looks like they are starting to have some fun. St. Louis -110

                              EARLY PICKS

                              Florida +120 1 Unit
                              Houston +120 1 Unit
                              Clev +195 1 Unit
                              St. Louis -110 5 Units

Even put the parly down for this:
                              Clev +195 1 Unit
                              St. Louis -110

I ONLY AGREE WITH YOU ON CARDINALS:

                                My explanations is:

-BRVES-theyre in home they dont want to be swept
-Pirates- They win these one vs the poorly astros and Russ Otiz sucks men really a bad ols pitcher Karstens is fine not very good but fine.

-Cardinals- I agree with you obously better pitching.

I also llike und Yankees why:

If Lee returns to form an cc is highlighted it should be easy under!

                                    Alex:
I agree with you about the Braves being at home and not being swept, but if they didnt want to be swept, they would have put up more of a fight yesterday with a better pitcher going and plus sitting Mccaan and Chipper today isnt showing much want for winning this.

The pitt/ houston game is a toss up in all honesty. I just feel like they will have a big day today. Im going with the gut on this one.

Yankees:::I am not impressed at all yet. The media traps us with this team. They have athletes all around, but im telling you, something is going on with the owners/coaches/players something, BIG games for this franchise was what made them what they are, but now they dont step up when everyone expects them too. Think of it like this. If you were playing for the Yankees, there has been alot more distractions for you leading up to this game than what the Indians have had going on. CC is going to be standing where nobody has ever stood today. I just have this feeling that his first pitch may end up in the backstop. Lee on the otherhand, they havent been playing so good, and he is wanting to come out and prove to EVERYONE (because you know espn will have 75% of there program tonight talking about the stadium and game) that he is that good and wants to win the first game ever in the new "Small Babylonian City".

I see what your saying, but when i looked over these mathups, these look like the right picks.

I'm with PIT. Ortiz is terrible...and Houston is not a good team.

The CHC/STL game is a flip of a coin in my estimation. Marshall has thrown very well against the Cardinals in his career while Wainwright has been terrible (though solid last year). I'm staying off of this game...especially considering that I'm a huge Cubs fan.

I'm on the Marlins...not wanting to be swept is tough. No team wants to lose and all come out with an effort to win, they just come up short. With two or three of Atlanta's studs sitting today, and a relatively even pitching matchup, I love the odds on the team that's been playing great. I've gone with FLA ML, and FLA RL today.

I like your CLE pick because of the insane line here. Lee has been terrible but was a CY Young winner in 2008...so he could turn it around at any time. I don't think the Indians take this game with the hype, but the juice is too high to go on the Yanks ML. The play is Indians ML or Yanks RL...and I can't decide if I'll make a play on this game. It comes down to Cliff Lee and whether he makes some progress today.

Foster, regarding the Pittsburgh game. Ortiz has very good numbers against the Pirates going 8-1 with a 3 ERA. Im all over Houston.

DFoster: i must say, you are a smart man, or you have been picking for a long time. You can never pick for or against your favorite team! In your case the Cubs. I am a huge Red Sox fan and have to catch myself a many of times with them. If they are favored -200 or more, i will go against them in a second. Look at your Cubs yesterday. I took Colorado and didnt think they would win like they did, but im a betting man and thats how you win. Plus, its misleading to everyone who reads your articles if you do pick your team just because you want them to win. And i do that with the Sox sometimes. Ortiz hasn't thrown against PIT since 2007 when he sported a 4.61 ERA against them. The guy is trash. I fully expect no one to want him this year...it just may take a month or two.

Not trying to slam your pick, but Russ Ortiz is not nearly the same pitcher now compared to his 8-1 mark you mention. I can't imagine putting money on the 'stros here, but GL.

The numbers are pretty even and i think that Ortiz has the edge believe it or not. Always welcome to post here. I like the feedback. Good Luck.

St. Louis is throwing a young arm today vs Z but they have healthy hitters and the cubs are without some major parts of the lineup! Anyone got advice on this?
And the Indians/Yankees matchup. Indians are looking somewhere between +185 and +195. Yankees havent been hitting to well and just lost Nady for 15dl. Big boy is pitching for them but the indians have had 10 hits in all of their last 5 games. I think they may be hot right now.

                                                                    Cleveland Indians: +185 2 Units
                                                                    Over 8.5 2 Units

Joba is throwing for the Yankees and should do a good job, but if he gets in any trouble around 5th or 6th expect a weak bullpen to come in. The Indians have had at least 10 hits in five straight games. I like the odds. They put on a show in the 7th inning yesterday and played a good game all around. They were selective at the plate with CC throwing, so expect some baserunners from Joba walks.

St. Louis Cardinals +161 .5 Units
                                                                    Over 8.5 1 Unit

I know that Z is tossing for the Cubs, but they have some banged up guys and St. Louis is hot hitting the ball lately. 8.5 is a hard total with someone like Z throwing but i still think that this could be a 5 - 4 game at least.

Dont like the inexperienced pitcher for St. Louis today against the Cubbies offense. Zambrano was solid his last outing and even if he does get erratic and give up runs, I think the cubs will outswing the cardinals today.
As for the Yankee game, I am not playing either side there. I think the Yankees will be coming out for blood though and will probably play the team total over 5 for them.
