MONSTROSITY OF A W last nite from mr west and the nite before from my amigo rickyline is lready droppin -130 to -125 now. EVERYONE is eating up moyer's 13-2 career record. vs us and JJ's slight problems vs washington, he pitched well and was just left in there 2 batters too long and he got charged for some runs reynel/kiko couldnt take care of, BUT THAT WAS 5 days ago, we are in the present.
JJ is 2-0 vs the phils with 2 ND's last 4 starts and in only start vs em this year went 7 strong with 8K's and onl 2 walks and only gave up 3 hits and allowed no runs but took a ND, A TOTAL SIN!
old man moyer is 3-2 vs us in his last 5 and is 2-1 this year and in the W's only gave up 0/1 run but in the L back in may we tagged him for 4 runs in a 5-3 W, but those were mainly off of his mistakes, he seems to mows us down left and right yet this year he's only had 4,5,6 K's in his starts...
the starters have pitched well last 2 nites, west just did what he had to do, and our pen seems like it HOPEFULLY is back and has some new found confidence after that abortion of a series in washington. our bats are alive when we need clutch hits, saw some nice 2 out, bases empty ball playing last nite, put ronnie on then bonifacio and then jeremy came through and so did coglhan (GREAT CALL UP).
as much as i rip on Freddie, he seems like he has our boys in a new mindset and focused on just goign out there and playing and dont worry who it is, nats were supposed to be beaten and we took em lightly, well no more. WE ARE ON A MISSION TO BRING HOME THE EAST BABY AND A WIN TODAY WOULD BE HUGE, not only a MAJOR sweep of the team ahead of us but a W over the guy who's 13-2 in his career vs us and makes half of the guys look like little leaguers.
i said this series was pretty much the season and so far we've done our job, but at this venture we're at, Sunday at 1:35 IS OUR SEASON, 2/3 from em and only gaining 1 game aint gonna cut the mustard, THE SWEEEEP IS A MUST AND THEY ALL KNOW THAT. Our pen is pretty fresh too so freddie shouldn't be hesitant to flip arms if jj gets in trouble as well as the pen, plus heremdia got some confidence back last nite after gettin down 0-2 with men on the 1st/2nd he battled back and drove in paulino to give us the 4-3 lead. he's got confidence finally and if he's called on today i belive that he can deliver, and too make our run we need heremdia playing like the hermida from the 2nd half in 07, .342 average with 10 dingers.

I VERY RARELY play runlines, ESPECIALLY when it's -1.5 runs BUT i'm feeling it tonight after that TREMENDOUS SWEEP in philly over the weekend. the fish are back in south beach and ready to keep up their smart and clutch play and hopefully it continues tonight as the houston astros come to town.
rick vandenhurk gets the nod tonight in his 1st starts since his worst one of the year in washington last week. he only went 4 innings and really stunk up the joint which he totally agreees with and is looking for a better performance today, especially with hitting his spots he gave up 5 runs on 7 hits in 4 innings. RVK also makes his debut vs the stros tonight so hopefully he can use that to his advantage atleast for the first 3-4 innings..
on the opposite side tonight is the ex marlin and journeyman brian moehler who is also coming off his worst performance in a VERY LONG TIME. He gave up 9hits and 7 runs, 6 earned, including a slamami in only six innings against the agianst the red hot giants of san francisco (HEY SAILOR, lol). in his career at LANDSHARK STADIUM he's 5-11 with alomst a 5.00 era in 35 games, and hopefully we can run that to 5-12 after tonight
the astros also will be without mr berkman tonight as he's on the 15 day dl, while the fish have no buddy new on the dl and the pen should be pretty much be available tonight.
hopefully not forcing this game tonight, but we need to keep up our momentum and take 3/4 from these struggling astros who have moehler, a dinged up oswalt, a rookie with a werid name, bud norris, and a dinged up hampton going for against us in the HOT FLA.
