Biff, for me I think when the white sox up 9-2 already decided to drop another 7 in the ninth was the bad beat. Up to that point the salami under was sailing home. The under was the right call.

You guys are right about the White Sox hanging 7 in the 9th being the killer. I was more focused on end of Phils/Rockies because it was the last day game to finish, seemed to last forever and ate up all of our cushion before Sunday night baseball. Oh well, onward and upward.

Yep. I generally figure roof at Miller Park to be worth 10-15% adjustment on park factor there. Can make a major difference when you play under when line set assuming open/over when line assuming closed. Here, line screams roof open.

Do you even watch baseball at all? I'm not saying the under is a bad play because given the pitching matchup it very well might go under but to say something as ridiculous as the Brewers offense is struggling is just....absurd.

Of their last 9 games they have scored totals of 3, 4, 0, 1, 5, 2, 5, 3. With one game of 8. Wow you are right, 3.4/game they are just killing it.

If you ever watched them play you would see how many outs they give away on the basepaths as well.

Oh and a team that has several guys that strike out at an extraordinarily high rate is not generally going to fare well against Cashner but I guess I don't know anything about baseball

So you are trying to say box score isn't everything and then all you do is give me average runs scored? Avg runs scored is penetrating meaningless this early in the season. The Brewers offense is ridiculously potent. They have 5 guys hitting over .300 and Maldonado is hitting .400 through 10 BA's. If you actually watched the games like you say you do you'd know how many opportunities they've had to blow games wide open. Just because a pitcher makes a great pitch or a defense makes a great play and gets them out of a jam against Milwaukee and keeps the box score down doesn't remotely mean their offense is struggling.

Aside from Gomez who has struck out 25 times yet STILL has a .312 BA, I have no idea why you think they more susceptible to striking out than almost any other team in baseball right now.

I've already booked Under 8 in the Brewers vs Padres game, but again, to say their offense is struggling because of avg. runs scored is complete bullshit. The average runs scored is skewed so heavily by teams that have one blowout win, score 11 runs, then score 1 or 2 for the next 3 games. That stat is absolutely meaningless less than a month into the season.
