Baseball season is approaching, figured it's time to start the thread as Hagball has suggested. Hopefully Hagball will be posting plays again since he did such a stellar job last season.

#2Thanks for getting the thread started Wallco. At this point in time I do plan on running the thread. This year has gotten quite a bit busier for me because I have now taken a teaching position on the weekends to go along with my weekly full time job. I don't anticipate any problems at this time. Looking forward to a profitable season. I will get the rules and filters up over the next few days. I know the season starts this weekend but at the earliest we won't see any plays until sometime in April. Also if you (Wallco) or anyone else (i.e. Allidoiswins) have a baseball betting system on sides or totals feel free to post as this thread can get quite slow at times tracking the plays.Comment -

#8I have two systems that I have come up with that I have been playing the past two years. Doing good with them. But Honestly need a break from running anything after NBA/NHL seasons. Too much criteria to post, and not backtested as well as I would like to share with others. Maybe if I can ever find the time to properly test it or have a few more successful seasons with it, at that time I will post them. But for now, just keeping them personal.

They will be. Just give it a couple days.Comment -

#10These are the filters for the JM MLB System. They will be mentioned when they come into play but will not affect the posting of the plays. All series will be posted regardless of the filter. Morrison always sends out the plays and then pulls the filter out of his ass when the series loses. It will be your choice on whether or not to play the series. I know there will be times when I miss something during the season and I do appreciate when one of you steps up and mentions it or calls me out. This is why I am posting them so if I do make an error someone will catch it. At this point these are all of the filters that I know of. I just went back and read the pdf.
- Injury filter- If the team you are betting on has an injury to their best pitcher or hitter then you should pass on the series.
- Top 3 rpi filter- If the team you are betting against is rated top 3 in the rpi then you should pass on this series.
- Worst road team filter- If the team you are betting on is the worst road team then you should pass on the series. If they are playing at home it's okay to play on them.
- Alternate Run Line Rule- If the team you are betting on is favored by up to -115 odds then you should buy the +1.5 alternate run line.
- (D) bet rule- If you are playing a series and it is a 4 game set and the (C) bet loses then you can make a (D) bet on the 4th game.
- The rpi drop- This is not a rule or a filter but Morrison has used it in the past to erase losses from his record. The rule is if a team you are betting on drops below the recommended .015 rpi during the course of the series then you should pass on the series. Vintage JM B.S. When you start a series just take note of how close the rpi is and decide for yourself whether or not to play it.
Now all of you who have been here know that Morrison will send out official plays and not mention the filter until it goes to a (C) bet or the series loses. We all here in this forum usually ignore the injury filter because it usually doesn't make a difference in the outcome of the series. The top 3 rpi filter will be mentioned because we have all seen it happen. Also worst road team filter is a good one to pay attention to. The alternate run line rule never came into play last year and you will never hear JM mention it until a series loses. I personally never play it. The (D) bet saved a couple of official bets in the past so if you are playing a series I suggest you play it out. I believe this is all of the filters and rules. If anyone has anything to add please do so.Comment -

#12JM 2013 MLB Season Recap
2013 Official season series record 27-1 (v1) (96.4%)
(A) 20-8 (71.4%)
(B) 5-3 (62.5%)
(C) 2-1 (66.6%)
(D) 0-0 (0%)
Units won/lost
-29 units won counting the 2 v2 wins
-06/27 DET v LAA lost 17.52 units
-Total units won +11.48
Observations
- The Morrison chase system needs to win at about a 97% rate to be profitable. This season it has been close.
- The system turned a modest profit this year.
- The system performed very well all the way through August
- The (A) bet record was outstanding this year. More so than in years past.
- All of the official series eventually won on the money line
-There were no alternate run lines needed to win a series
-Don't see any advantage to playing this system outside of the way it was designed.
Recommendation
-Don't quit your day job
- The system performed very well this year but you won't get rich at this pace. Add it to your betting arsenal but don't bank your future on it.
V2 plays 2-3
Observations
-There were only 3 official series with v2 plays
-Only 2 series won on a v2 play
-1 lost with 2 v2 plays
- The unofficial v2 plays had 9 wins but also had 2 double v2 losses
-From past and present experience is that all the v2 really does is increase risk with no real assurance of a win.
-The record speaks for itself
Recommendation
-I know we had a few double v2 losses this year but that is the only way I see to play it. When it goes to a (C) bet and is a double v2 play I believe it is a very strong play. This is a bit of a repeat from last year and I may change my mind if we go through one more season with the v2 performing this poorly.
V3 system 7-2 (77.7%) (Morrison claims this is the closest thing to perfection)
- The win percentage falls way short of the necessary win percentage
Totals units won 7
Total units lost (-12.15)
Season total (-5.15) units
Observations
-Depending on the first v3 series you could have made a small profit in this sytem this season. The closing line made it an alternative run line play which won but the opening line was a money line play.
-The system had a home loss this year where last year all of the losses were by visiting teams. After last year I recommended playing only home teams this year and that didn't work out so well either.
-One of the few positives to playing this version is it's usually only a two bet series which limits risk. Some series are 3 bet but not very often.
-There aren't enough plays for this system to stand on its own.
Recommendation
-I don't really have any recommendations on this system this year. It always seems to fall short of expectations. I'll probably continue to play it but on home teams only.
Unofficial series 66-3 (95.6%)
(A)38-31 (55%)
(B) 14-17 (45.1%)
(C) 14-3 (82.3%)
(D) 0-1 (0%)
Units won/lost
-75 units won counting the extra unit on the 9 v2 wins
08/07 LAA v TEX lost (-16.44) units
08/20 TOR @ NYY lost (-17.16) units
09/15 CHW v CLE lost (-29.73) units
Total units won if played all the way through September +11.67
Total units won at the end of August +17.40
Observations
-Some of you may have bailed on that TOR/NYY series after the (B) bet loss when the (C) bet got postponed by rain. If that was the case you would have had a better profit. I'm just compiling all of these numbers strictly by the system.
-There were 9 run line wins needed this year
-Once again there were no alternate run lines wins needed
-I think this was the first time the (B) bets had a losing record
-I don't remember the last time I've seen this many (C) bets and how many of them won.
Recommendations
-It's hard to have a distinct recommendation other than you can tweak this a little bit. I tried to this year but the amount of series that went to a (C) bet hurt me and also the amount of run line wins needed. I'll do some more research in the off season and make a determination by the beginning of next season.
-Once again the system did well through August and had that loss in September not been a (D) bet it would have profited all the way through.
-I recommend playing the unofficial plays just because there aren't enough official series to support the system for a whole season. It can be risky at times but overall I believe it's a winner.
-After last season I did some digging and tried to tweak things a little but each season has its own trends as far as which level of bets wins or loses and the amount of run line plays. Just the overall system proves to be pretty sound over time so in the future I'll probably stay with the format except for a few things. I will never play an alternate run line and I'll probably avoid visiting teams in the v3 system unless I see a distinct advantage on a handicapping basis.Comment -

#14I'll get the page up for the 2014 season sometime this coming week. I see that Morrison a.k.a. Mr. Chau has his new exterminator system for MLB and NFL up for sale. If anyone purchases it we would appreciate you sharing and or posting it here in this thread. Also one more note, I am considering purchasing a service that I have used in the past. They have a totals program going for MLB. They average around a 60% win rate yearly and profited 101 units last season. If I do purchase it I am considering posting the plays in this thread because this thread can get kind of slow at times. I will not mention their name or guarantee any success but if you want to track them for awhile and see how it goes maybe we all can make a little extra money.Comment -

#17That has to be the most convoluted set of rules for a system that I have ever seen. My question is variance. What is the average size of the wagers in each A B C D. That's the meaningful stat.Comment -

#19Hagball, if I message u the criteria for the over under system that did really well last year (in same thread), would you be willing to post? I dont have time to post my systems anymore as capping multiple sports takes priority. Then again, I'm sure people will complain about two systems being in here again...Comment -

#21Why not give us all the criteria of the system, and we all can keep track of how well it does?
I think that very few will just blindly follow, at least I won't, without knowing what I'm following.

#34I bought the service for the totals plays. There will probably be around 5 to 7 plays a day once the season gets going. I will be betting all plays to win 1 unit. I'll keep a won/loss record going with the plays. Just flat bet no chase. I recommend just tracking in the beginning to see how it goes.
