If there were a game that i was concerned about, it was yesterday with Lackey for the sweep. Obviously, there was little need for concern. In hindsight, wish i'd used Sox rather than Cards yesterday (Cards were my unjustified favorite ML parlay partner yesterday - bah).

Lean Cubs FF, but man, is ML expensive (-150). May consider RL but not crazy about needing Cubs to grab a lead (ever).

Lead Dbacks/under late, but wary of playing any totals today other than Tribe/KC because don't know umps and some serious over (McClelland, Schreiber, Nauert) and under (Bellino, Cuzzi) umps out there and likely won't be around when ump assignments are announced. Dbacks 8-0 L8 Kennedy starts vs SF, SF 0-5 in Cain's starts this season, but also leery about fading Cain. Yes, he has struggled this season, but ace SPs don't get to be ace SPs by have their team go 0-fer-April in their starts (see, e.g., Hamels and Price yesterday).

From my standpoint, Cain is unbackable until I see him have a decent outing. I've seen good portions of each of his starts this season, and he just doesn't look like himself. It's one of the reasons that I haven't jumped on the under (well, that and the fact that I missed 8'). Seems that, if you back Cain, you're doing so with the expectation of seeing something that we haven't seen yet this season. When I realize that a lean involves that dynamic, i generally cross it off and pass. BOL whatever you decide, NC, but its Dbacks or under for me, pal.

I think this game is a pass. The line looks fishy for SF.has lost 6 str. on road and has lost 8 of 12 overall. Kennedy career vs SF. is 6-2 with a 2.33 ERA and WHIP of 1.024..........it just does not add up.?
