an unconventional type of bet to consider...

PIT/STL...first-inning, NoScore @ chalky -150 (meaning 60% implied or "break even" probability)...

play this game out in your mind 1000 times...do you see 400 or more of 'em going into the second inning with something on the board...i don't...

worth a unit, i say...but i'm willing to be talked out of it

problem is with waino this yr if he gets hit it generally the 1st inning..i dont think he will but there is always that and a rookie in a huge gm could easily walk a guy and cards get him home..

dumbass impulse and a little line shopping told me that heritage's -150 was a "bargoon" vs. most other books...will just have to wait and see which one of the 1000 parallel universes i actually live in

...hope it's one of the 600-plus where all's boringly uneventful until the first 6 outs are recorded...one where when u come home a bit late and ask the score you're instantly told "you didn't miss anything...hey, while you're up, can u pull out a pack o' cold ones for the boyz"...

I feel good about the Cardinals tonight. My expectations for them were getting the NLCS and not any further.

With that said, I'm not going to lay the juice. I'm just going to watch as a fan tonight.

I really like this Pirates team and what they have been able to accomplish but has there been a team more clutch in the post-season in recent years than the Cardinals?

You have to like Waino against the young Cole tonight.

Line's have been pretty sharp in the playoffs IMO sans the TB wildcard and the waino/aj game1. Will be on the lookout for a good line in-game; I lean o6.5, so waino giving up 1 or 2 early on would provide a good opportunity.

I'm a little confused by the 6.5. Figured it would be 7. Pirates have a good track record vs. Waino, and no matter how good Cole has been, he's still a rookie starting a Game 5 in StL. Even more confused by the over being offered at + money.

top 5 of 6 avgs with RISP were cardinals. thats gonna play a huge roll tonight. there is also no doubt in my mind beltran will do something huge tonight. this man lives and produces in this exact situation.

I tihnk 7 is about right. I'm not playing the over or anything, just trying to say I'm not worried about taking the cardinals down 2-0 early; At +odds, I have no issue with betting the cards score 3+. Bullpens being fresh and useful + hurdle being a competent manager, I don't expect too much offence once those guys start being brought in to play matchups.

This is the Pirates tonight boyz....Stl and Wainright going to come up short again...Pitt battin 300+ vs Wainy & Cole getting hotter....Molina looks hurt and all that high % with runners in scoring position has been coming back to earth....surprised this did not end in Pittsburgh, but it ends tonight in Stl for the Cards...
