Sorry RS, I just got the chance to respond. Not that it helps you much now, but I really like Wood...ahem...Alex Wood, I mean. I realize he is no Matt Harvey, but against this Met lineup you don't have to be. I haven't seen him pitch yet, but read this from Jason Parks, "His mechanics are violent and they scare small children", that's good stuff. The Braves are substantially a better club in almost all aspects and if Wood doesn't pitch deep in to the game, they have a pen that can outlast the Mets as well. Good luck today.

No prob on the late response. What I like about your plays, as I've mentioned before, is it will often make me rethink mine or delve deeper. I did a little reading on Alex Wood and it seems they think he's one of the "next best things" for the Braves. We all know the Mets struggle to put runs on the board, but Harvey vs some newb smelled of a Mets play or no play... Then I thought about the Mets being plus money with Harvey on the mound, and I laughed... and bet the Braves!!!!

Wow disheartening Wood has disappeared already but I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and realize Harvey is going to disappear at some point as well... Let's see if the Braves can get to him at all in the 5th or the 6th and make him exit early.

Had I known that Atlanta was going to throw that weak lineup out there, I wouldn't have played it nearly as heavy. I guess that's the chance you take when you post picks before lineups come out. I still think they should have pulled it off.
I also don't think Laird should have been hitting in the 9th. If you're going to pinch hit with McCann in the 8th, he should have stayed in to catch and put the pitcher in at Laird's spot in the lineup. That way you either send up Pena or BJ or start the 9th, not Laird who was visibly hurt while he was on base the previous inning.

As a general rule I don't play game twos. In this case it's even more so with Wheeler making his debut. Ultimately the Braves should win but I'm laying off, especially at -200.

He's also from Georgia. I wonder if there is a stat somewhere that tells us how players, particular pitchers perform when playing in their home town and when a pitcher is making his debut in his home town or close to home.
