Why do I get the feeling this year we'll set a new record

With all these new books popping up this year trying to take advantage of the U.S. laws forcing more of the well known books to flee the U.S. marketplace I can't help but to wonder just how many victims their will be when they go to cash out after the football season is over. I have a feeling we might just set an all-time record this year when it comes to close up shop stiff jobs.

What are your thoughts on this subject gentlemen?

Well, I think a lot of them will close up shop AFTER the superbowl is over and pull a BetEd. The remainder will be just barely staying afloat IF their isn't an NBA season because even though college basketball good the season in the first week of April and then the slow season begins. I don't think the NHL playoffs and baseball is going generate enough revenue to make their payroll requirements no matter how short staffed they become in hopes of survival.

Not sure if BetIslands will fold or not because they do have rather deep pockets from my understanding however, places like GTbets come to mind. They haven't business all that long now and their already have some troubles.

Perhaps you meant Jazz, because BI appears solid. They operate out of the same building and use the same software. But they are owned separately and Jazz is drowning in debt. I seriously doubt they'll be around next year. Hopefully, for the sake of those owed money, a major Book (Cris?) will bail them out.

Maybe because it is over for the U.S. right now, until something changes.
Every day you risk your funds from now on, even in books that would be 100% safe otherwise like Bookmaker.
Just look at the big picture, here in the gambling world they might be a big fish, but they are nothing and can be crushed like a fly by the law.

You might be right about BetGrizzly (Not Rated) however, the jury is still out about Synbet (Not Rated) but, I can't say it would surprise me at all if they did.

Thats why no one from the US should put money on any small sites. The Europeans need to beta test them first... Thanks Guys

Stay with the staples. 5dimes, Heritage, YouWager, BetOnline, Bookmaker and Legendz and all will be fine.

Yes, even though I'm employed by SBR I don't have to sit here and tell everyone to play at some book that we have on an ole "pump and dump" rotation like other sites out there. I was told by management since day one that I can recommend books that I felt comfortable with playing and as you can clearly see by some of my posts regarding this subject their isn't many at this time during the state of the industry as a whole that I even feel at ease even playing at.

The bottom line is this sir. People on this forum can blast me all they want if they feel the safety of their funds are not an issue during this rocky state of the industry it's currently experiencing however, I will go to my grave saying that should be everyone's top priority but unfortunately it's not.

I personally feel that 5Dimes (SBR Rated A+) is a very solid recreational shop and is most definitely worthy of your action. I feel very comfortable recommending them to all the U.S. players.

Synbet (Not Rated) is a skin of Pulsebet (Not Rated). Now I've heard mixed reviews about this establishment as a hole, some good and some bad. Well, I'll just tell you what I know and let you decide Shari.

Justin7 has made a comment here in this thread (post #13) where he feels even though Synbet (Not Rated) is a very new book that if he were to rate them it would give them a "C-". On the other hand SBR poster Mr.Champi posted in this thread (post #7) that their skin site Pulsebet (Not Rated) is a scam book. Also very respected SBR Poster Peep backs up Mr.Champi's comments about Pulsebet with his comments with some type of location issues in this thread (post #9).

Now since both of these books are not rated by SBR at this time I really can only tell you what I see out there right now. Personally, I feel if Synbet falters we might just see the double whammy and see pulsebet go down the tubes as well.

Now the one nobody's even mentioned yet in this thread is TopBet (SBR Rated F) who just recently filled a sponsorship void at another gaming portal that had BetEd (Closed) as their top sponsor for quite a long time. Now what intrigues me about this particular book (Topbet) is the fact that they are part of the Futurebet family of books who has a very well known history of not only cheating it's players but the books that use their services as well which you can read about here. Needless to say this book is fighting the ultimate uphill battle in every possible fashion you can ever imagine because, theirs a good chance the triple screw job (book, players and gaming portal) could possibly left out in the cold at the same time.

Dan, I'm not sure if you've seen it yet but there's a new thread on the front page at Peeps with a rep from Synbet/Pulsebet/some walk in shop in the Bahamas that the rep won't name and that no one who's been there has ever seen. Needless to say, I wouldn't give them a penny after reading that. I wouldn't even take a no deposit freeroll there.

Exactly, after reading that thread there is no way you could possibly be blind enough to take a shot there. The guy can't lie fast enough to cover his tracks.

Edited by Shari: The name of the thread at Peeps is "Synbet will be the most advanced sportsbook in North America"

But yeah, when a rep for a new book appears here in a thread talking to himself with 2 accounts, one of those pretending to be just an every day bettor with knowledge about this new and wonderful book, that sets off alarm bells straight away. And then after I saw how Gavin was treated by both SynBet and the Rx in a case they deemed "mistaken identity" that was strike 2. Strike 3 -100 was that Peeps thread today.

Here are the posts I pulled of 2 of his 3 accounts from a thread Fishhead started about Synbet.

OMG, I just read this thread. Why do I get the feeling that this would be a prime candidate to be inducted into "The Rookie Project" that RPM set up for Roberto way back in the day. We all know how that fiasco went over.

Theirs always been shilling going on within the forums as we both know however, this is just mind boggling to say the least Shari.

I know gaming portals have to somehow make their money and I think everyone in this industry realizes that however, at this stage of the game within the industry it's not a wise choice to be pushing the pump and dump type places because not only are the players getting scammed by them but the DOJ is out to nail'um all too. Truly a no win situation for the players no matter how you look at it.

It's funny you bring up this particular tid bit. After doing some research on some of these other newer establishments that have popped up on the scene as of late they too have these types of issues surrounding them as well. I'm still doing a lot of research on them however, I'm not seeing any connections to what their claiming. Of course once my finding are completed I will be sharing them with everyone.

Fishhead himself is the biggest shill on this forum. He promotes a Book until there's negative info against them--then he leads the charge the other way ( see BetPhoenix and EZStreet Sports). The guy's a fraud.
