Thursday's 11-game slate provides a ton of depth for my NHL predictions today. In the player prop total points betting market, I have one fade and two additional players to back for production in the offensive zone.

Pavel Buchnevich is the main target for tonight's betting board. The Blues veteran forward has struggled on the ice this season, while earning less than 16 minutes TOI in 3 of his past 5 appearances. I'm also on Pavel Zacha and Brayden Schenn to each record a point in favorable matchups.

NHL best bet today

Pavel Buchnevich Under 0.5 Points (-165 via BetMGM)

Buchnevich is one of the longest-tenured players on the Blues roster. Yet, he's been held to 1 point in his past 5 starts for St. Louis. Earning minutes on the third attack line and second powerplay unit doesn't afford Buchnevich many prime scoring chances.

Tonight, it's going to be a monumental task to log a point against the Devils. Connor Hellebuyck is set to make his fourth start in net for New Jersey, limiting opponents to 6 total goals in 3 combined starts. The Devils also rank 5th in shots allowed (366) this year.

Go to BetMGM to bet Pavel Buchnevich Under 0.5 Points at -165 odds.

Pavel Zacha Over 0.5 Points (-145 via BetMGM)

The Bruins have begun this season as one of the top teams in either conference, boasting a +20 goal differential. Zacha has been one of the most productive players in Boston's lineup, logging 17 points on the first attack line and on the top powerplay unit.

Across his past 4 starts, Zacha has a point in 3 of those contests, including a goal against a stout Hurricanes lineup. Arturs Silovs is expected in net for the Penguins tonight, allowing 7 combined goals in his previous 2 starts.

Zacha's a low-volume shooter but benefits from a soft goaltender matchup, while logging over 19 minutes ATOI alongside star forward, David Pastrnak.

Stay on BetMGM and bet Pavel Zacha Over 0.5 Points at -145 odds.

Brayden Schenn Over 0.5 Points (+106 via FanDuel)

One of the Islanders' offseason acquisitions, Brayden Schenn, has made his presence felt throughout the early portion of the year. Skating on New York's second attack line and primary powerplay unit, Schenn has 9 points, including 4 goals.

Schenn has lit the lamp twice in his past 4 starts, while logging 3 total points across his past 5 outings. There's value on him tonight, riding a two-game point drought, while facing a tough Carolina defense.

Brandon Bussi has had a bad start in net for the Hurricanes. He's allowed 3+ goals in 4 of 6 starts, including 8 total goals in his previous 2 appearances for Carolina.

Go to FanDuel and bet on Brayden Schenn Over 0.5 Points at +106 odds.
