The Washington Football Team still have hopes of making the postseason, and will have to pick up a win over the division rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. We dive into the matchup with our Washington-Cowboys prop picks for Sunday Night Football.

While the spread for Sunday Night Football may be a little out of control, a total of 45.5 would seem to indicate a quality, high-scoring game en route for prime time. While I tend to believe that and think Washington might make a little noise, I do think there’s some value in fading QB Taylor Heinicke.

I’ll also be betting on the legs of Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott in a soft matchup and I’m a believer in Washington’s newly-anointed slot receiver.

Here are my top Sunday Night Football prop picks for the Washington-Cowboys matchup (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Top Sunday Night Football Prop Picks

Taylor Heinicke Over 0.5 interceptions (-190) ?????Ezekiel Elliott anytime touchdown (-140) ????Adam Humphries Over 28.5 receiving yards (-115) ????

Sunday Night Football Prop Picks

Heinicke Over 0.5 interceptions (-190)

This one is a bit juicy, but it is a no-brainer for me. Furthermore, I think this is a vital piece in any same-game parlay you’re going to run with your Sunday Night Football prop picks.

Over the last four weeks, the Cowboys have picked off a league-high eight passes, and that should really put this one over the top. Heinicke has thrown a pick in each of his last three starts and is now coming off a week where he had to sit inside and quarantine due to COVID-19. Heinicke should be very rusty, and he’ll be in over his head against one of the league’s best cover teams.

I like the kid, but this secondary will eat him alive.

Elliott anytime TD (-140)

Washington has allowed 2.9 touchdowns per game, which ranks 24th, and it has not only given up 4.2 yards per carry but has also allowed opposing running backs to score eight times through the passing game.

Elliott did see 62% of the offensive snaps last week even with Tony Pollard back off of the COVID-19 list. I anticipate his workload to be pretty heavy again in Week 16. He has scored 10 total touchdowns through 14 games and I think he has a great chance of punching one in on the ground or catching a touchdown pass against a Washington team that has been ravaged by injuries on the defensive side of the ball.

Humphries Over 28.5 receiving yards (-115)

Humphries started last week and saw 62% of the snaps for Washington. It really seems as if this team is trying to get him involved in the offense and force-feed him the ball.

The slot receiver has 13 targets and seven catches over the last two games. He has been mainly involved in short-yardage situations, but this number is far too low. He cleared this prop line seven times this year and with Curtis Samuel (hamstring) looking like he could miss Sunday’s game, I think betting on Humphries is a good idea to finish our Sunday Night Football prop picks.

Same-game parlay: Heinicke Over 0.5 interceptions (-190) + Elliott anytime TD (-140) + Humphries Over 24.5 receiving yards (-115) = +310
