The Pittsburgh Steelers have hung around in the playoff picture despite their offensive struggles. To stay there, Pittsburgh will need to upset the rival Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night. Here are our top Steelers-Ravens SGP picks based on the best NFL odds.

The Steelers (7-8) need a win to extend their hopes of sneaking into a wild-card spot in the AFC. The Ravens (10-5) have clinched, but a win is required Sunday to keep pressure on the Bengals in the race for the AFC North title.

SGP Predictions for Steelers vs. Ravens

Steelers +1.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Steelers’ defense should hold a stylistic advantage against Baltimore’s offense. Without Lamar Jackson healthy, the Ravens will need to run the ball frequently to enjoy success. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley hasn’t been able to deliver consistently through the air.

The Steelers rank sixth in the NFL in rush defense DVOA. Pittsburgh lost the first 2022-23 edition of this rivalry matchup 16-14 a few weeks ago with Mitch Trubisky at quarterback, but now Kenny Pickett is healthy for Week 17. The Steelers allowing a gaudy rushing day to JK Dobbins in that prior matchup was uncharacteristic. Expect them to buckle down more effectively against the one-dimensional Ravens this week. 

Though the Steelers are slight underdogs in a must-win situation on Sunday night, Pittsburgh is intriguing from a betting perspective. The Steelers have been strong for bettors in away games in 2022-23, going 5-3 against the spread on the road. Only five teams boast a better road cover rate.

Under 35.5 (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The first meeting between the Steelers and Ravens this season resulted in 30 points. Both offenses have been struggling to score consistently. The Steelers rank 29th while averaging just 17.6 points per game. 

Although the Ravens rank 15th while scoring 21.4 points per contest, they've been abysmal under Huntley recently. Baltimore has scored just 44 points across its last four games (11 per outing). 

The season-long trends on totals are leaning Under for both sides. Steelers games have gone 6-9 to the Over, while the Over had hit in just four of the Ravens' 15 games, tied for the NFL's lowest Over rate.

Huntley Under 168.5 passing yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Huntley has proven incapable of passing for large volumes, throwing for more than this total just once in four games. Sunday night won’t be a favorable opportunity to improve upon his typical numbers, as he threw for just 88 yards against the Steelers during the last matchup.

The DraftKings line on Huntley’s passing total sits at 174.5 yards, with -120 odds on the Under. Though DraftKings has posted a more appealing line for Pittsburgh on the point spread (+2.5 compared to +1.5 at FanDuel), the combined parlay odds are just +425 when including the juiced-up Huntley prop.
