Quarterback Geno Smith is having a breakout season and sports the highest completion percentage (73.1) in the league. He’s also trading as low as +2000 to win the NFL MVP Award via DraftKings Sportsbook.
The first half hasn’t been as smooth for the 4-5 Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is averaging just 18.0 points per game, and after leading the NFL in touchdowns last season, quarterback Tom Brady has thrown for only 10 scores through nine games.

The Buccaneers have the superior defense in this matchup, and the Seahawks have faced the third-easiest schedule to this point of the season by DVOA per Football Outsiders. The cross-Atlantic trip is also more daunting for the Seahawks following a Week 9 road game against the Arizona Cardinals and having two additional time zones to travel across.
Tampa Bay has surrendered the fifth-fewest points per game while allowing the eighth-lowest EPA per play and ranking seventh in defensive DVOA. Additionally, Tampa Bay is allowing the fifth-fewest passing yards per game in the league and ranks fourth in coverage grade per Pro Football Focus. The Bucs also boast the second-highest adjusted sack rate in the league.
I consider this a steep uptick in class for the Seattle offense.
I preferred the -120 Bucs moneyline that was available earlier in the week, but I also respect and agree with the steam that has moved this line in Tampa Bay’s favor. With the spread below a field goal via PointsBet, I'll turn there.

Additionally, this will be the toughest matchup for the Seattle offense since Week 2 when the San Francisco 49ers throttled them 27-7. With Tampa Bay struggling to put points on the board all season, I’m not anticipating the Bucs to suddenly put it all together offensively on another continent, either.

Seattle has been stout against the run with the 11th-lowest EPA per rush allowed and 10th-best rush defensive DVOA. However, the Seahawks have also faced the eighth-easiest schedule of opposing offenses by DVOA.
I have White projected for 29.4 rushing yards, so I consider this a decent edge with the potential for him to have an expanded role in Week 10.
