The Las Vegas Raiders very nearly took down the eventual AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2021-22 playoffs. They enter the season with momentum, but can they produce another 10-win season in a revamped AFC West? Read on for our Raiders season odds, picks, and preview.

The Raiders very nearly rewrote the entire AFC playoff picture in their wild-card round nailbiter against the Bengals last season. Derek Carr and company trailed by seven in the red zone with just under a minute remaining, but they were unable to put the ball in the end zone.

This offseason, they added wideout Davante Adams, pass-rusher Chandler Jones, and head coach Josh McDaniels, and yet there isn't all that much hope for the Raiders heading into this season because of the division they play in. Could this be a team that surprises many, or are they destined to take a step back despite adding talent on both sides of the ball and one of the best offensive minds in football?

Below, we preview the 2022 season for the Las Vegas Raiders with a look at their futures odds and make our top picks (odds via DraftKings SportsbookFanDuel SportsbookBetMGM).

Las Vegas Raiders 2022 Picks

To win AFC Championship (+2500 via FanDuel)Over 8.5 wins (-110 via BetMGM)To make playoffs (+180 via BetMGM)Davante Adams to have one 200-yard receiving regular-season game (+600 via DraftKings)

Raiders to win AFC Championship (+2500)

The Buffalo Bills are favored to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this season. The next three teams all have one thing in common: they play in the AFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers all have odds of lower than +1000 to win the conference, which leaves the Raiders stuck way down the list.

It's a longshot for sure, but with the talent on this team, there's no reason they can't sneak into the playoffs and make a run. The Raiders aren't going to put together a 17-game season that is better than that of the Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos, which eliminates a division title bet.

Yet, if the Raiders can post a better record than one of their conference opponents, they should find themselves in the mix for a playoff berth. And once you're in the postseason, you just need to find a way to win three games to get to the Super Bowl. Just look at what the Bengals were able to do last season.

Raiders Over 8.5 wins (-110)

After a 10-win season last year, most books have the Raiders "favored" to win at least nine games. McDaniels inherits a team that is being overlooked because of its division, but there really is little doubt that the Raiders are a better team than they were when they won 10 games a season ago.

The schedule will be tougher this year, but good teams find a way to beat teams that they shouldn't. Carr is battle tested after helping his team find ways to win close games, especially in the back half of the 2021 campaign. They probably won't clear this number by more than a win or two, so be prepared to sweat this one out, but the Over is the right play.

Raiders to make playoffs (+170)

The Raiders are offering up enticing numbers on just about every sportsbook because of the strength of the AFC West. Every other team in the division has odds at -146 or better to make the playoffs right now. Yet, all it is going to take is one of those teams to have a down year, and suddenly the Raiders are right there in contention for a playoff spot.

Outside of the division, the Indianapolis Colts are much better than they were a year ago, but teams like the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and Cleveland Browns remain question marks. Add into the mix a Bengals squad that could suffer a Super Bowl hangover, and all of a sudden, the Raiders are floating right around the playoff cutoff.

Adams to have one 200-yard receiving regular-season game (+600)

The player props for this team are tough. There are a lot of weapons on this offense, and the health of players is going to be a huge factor. However, Adams could be the best receiver in football, and with all of the offensive firepower in the AFC West, the Raiders could be playing from behind a lot this season.

Adams had one 200-yard receiving game last season when he went for 206 against the Bengals. The prior season, his highest total was 196. There is no doubt that the Raiders are going to want to prove early on that Adams is their guy, and all it takes for him to hit this bet is one mismatch.
