The saga of the Baltimore Ravens not yet extending former MVP QB Lamar Jackson took another twist when he formally requested a trade Monday, March 27. With rumors ramped up that his time in Baltimore is done, we look at the odds and picks for Lamar Jackson's next team.

After the Ravens applied the non-exclusive franchise tag to their franchise quarterback earlier this offseason, the former MVP finally took matters into his own hands when Jackson tweeted that he was formally seeking a trade, thanking his fans in the process. That led DraftKings to repost odds for Lamar Jackson's next team shortly after.

Here are the odds from DraftKings and our best picks for Lamar Jackson's next team.

Lamar Jackson's next team

Atlanta Falcons (+300)

The Falcons entered the NFL offseason off of a 7-10 2022 campaign with the second-most cap space in the league. After bolstering their defense and solidifying their offensive line, the Falcons still have the sixth-most cap space in the NFL.

Though the team brought in veteran quarterback Taylor Heinicke via free agency to back up sophomore signal-caller Desmond Ridder, there's little question that Jackson would be an upgrade over that combo at the most important position. General manager Terry Fontenot could surely figure out how the rest would work.

The Indianapolis Colts are favored by the odds in this market for Jackson's next team. While they rank just behind the Falcons with over $20 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap, it's difficult to see them parting with the necessary trade capital and paying the premium for Jackson's services while in possession of the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Indianapolis is projected to move up to select former Kentucky QB Will Levis by Michael McClymont's NFL mock draft.

New York Jets (+2500)

The Jets odds to acquire Jackson shot up after Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers declared his intentions of playing for Gang Green in 2023. However, a few weeks after Rodgers' appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers remains with the Packers as no trade has materialized between the two sides.

It's possible the Packers would rather block Rodgers' trade request than accept anything less than what they perceive as fair value. It's also possible, if not likely, that the Jets could consider the 26-year-old Jackson as a better long-term option than the 39-year-old Rodgers.

Should the asking prices via trade be relatively equal, it would be quite the development to see the Jets turn to Baltimore and Jackson to cash this long-shot ticket.
