Two backup quarterbacks will face each other in Sunday's game between the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos. Read on for our Cardinals-Broncos picks based on the latest odds.

At 4-6, Arizona faced an opportunity to make noise in the NFC playoff race as it entered a stretch of the team's schedule featuring three straight home games. However, the Cardinals went 0-3 in contests against the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, and New England Patriots. The last loss was the most costly, as Kyler Murray suffered a season-ending torn ACL on the third snap of the game.

With last week's loss to Kansas City, Denver became the third team eliminated from playoff contention (joining the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears). The Broncos have now lost 10-plus games in three straight seasons for the first time since 1963-67. Denver also suffered a costly injury in Week 14, as Russell Wilson left in the fourth quarter with a concussion.

Here is our best Cardinals-Broncos NFL pick (odds via Wynn Sportsbook; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Cardinals vs. Broncos Pick

Under 37.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Russell Wilson's concussion is the most talked about Broncos injury. But Denver is banged up at so many other positions that it makes the thought of scoring points with Brett Rypien at quarterback seem impossible.

After guard Dalton Risner missed the Week 14 game against the Chiefs, every starting Broncos offensive lineman has sat out at least one contest in 2022. In addition, while he's coming off a three-touchdown performance, Jerry Jeudy is leading a wide receiving corps with two undrafted rookies (Brandon Johnson and Jalen Virgil), as Courtland Sutton, Kendall Hinton, and Tim Patrick are all hurt. And now the Broncos' backfield is down to Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack, neither of whom were in the league to start the season.

Entering Week 14, Denver's defense ranked second in points allowed per game (17.0), second in yards per play (4.8), third in third-down percentage (32%), and first in red-zone touchdown percentage (32%). That should lower Arizona's offensive ceiling with Colt McCoy now under center.

For Under backers, Wynn is the obvious place to make this wager, as it's the only sportsbook offering an extra half-point of value. The Broncos are the most profitable Under team in the league, cashing it in 11 of their 13 games. This total is accordingly the lowest on the Week 15 slate, especially with neither team trotting out its starting quarterback.
