Top Expert Team Prop Picks

Jazz Over 111.5 points (-110) – Browne

The Jazz own the best offense in the league in the early part of the season. They are scoring 114.1 points per, rank first in efficiency, and are always a good bet when playing at home. One of the keys here is the injury to Patrick Williams of the Chicago Bulls. The young forward is a defensive catalyst for his team and his injury will be felt on both ends of the court. He's an up-and-coming player and Utah's wings and frontcourt players should take full advantage of his absence.

Timberwolves Over 110.5 points (-110) – Ducey

In the same way I like Karl-Anthony Towns in this spot, I love the Minnesota Timberwolves as a unit. They have more firepower than their average offensive marks would indicate, and their pace has been among the five fastest in the NBA. Denver is a team that switches on and off on defense constantly, and their ineptitude in defending the post should lead to many points inside for Towns and the slashing Anthony Edwards.

Knicks halftime/fulltime (-145) – Wharton

The biggest discrepancy game of the day is the New York Knicks at New Orleans Pelicans. The feisty Knicks have raced out to a 4-1 overall and ATS record, making them true betting darlings. Meanwhile, New Orleans has continued their demise without Zion Williamson and are 1-5 on the year.

The Knicks tend to win close games, but they're still winning. Coming off a one-point battle against Chicago on Thursday, there's no reason to think they won't beat the skidding Pelicans. Getting them to win both halves is a better play than the spread.

Top Expert Player Prop Picks

Randle Over 9.5 rebounds (-130) – Browne

Outside of Jonas Valanciunas, the Pelicans are pretty thin on the frontcourt. They won't be matched up anyway which is why I'm taking Julius Randle over 9.5 rebounds. He's averaging 12.2 per game on the season and I see no reason to believe he'll get less than that here. It's also a revenge game for him considering the Pelicans sort of gave up on him. Their loss is his gain because, no disrespect to New Orleans but, I'd think he's much happier living and playing in New York. As competitive of a player as he is, I expect him to go out of his way to play well against the Pelicans.

Towns Over 25.5 points (+115) – Ducey

Towns will be in a great spot here for the red-hot Timberwolves. Not only has been on fire, averaging 28 points per game, but he'll also run into the third-worst defense inside 10 feet so far this year, judging by field-goal percentage. Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic also may not play in this game, which would make this spot an even better one for KAT.

Mitchell leading scorer (+145) – Wharton

What a terrific value we have here. The Bulls are loaded with Zach Lavine and a host of offensively capable playmakers, but that's a detriment when it comes to betting on game-leading scorers. The Jazz are so reliant on Donovan Mitchell that they're easy to predict. Mitchell must score for the Jazz to win, and the team wins a lot.

With Rudy Gay and Mike Conley still out for the Jazz and LaVine banged up, getting Mitchell with this return is an instant bet. He could go off for 30 or more against this poor Bulls defense.
