We're examining our favorite NBA player props and the best bets for Wednesday based on the best NBA odds, led by a big game from Damian Lillard and Rudy Gobert.

After a lighter slate of games on Tuesday, we've got 10 NBA games on the docket for a busy Wednesday, including some of the top stars in the sport in action.

The Minnesota Timberwolves face the shorthanded Dallas Mavericks as big man Rudy Gobert looks to dominate in the paint. Guard Ayo Dosunmu has been great for the Chicago Bulls as of late, and he gets a favorable draw with the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.

Forward Paolo Banchero has been on a heater in January. Can the reigning Rookie of the Year keep it going against Victor Wembanyama, this season’s favorite in the NBA Rookie of the Year odds, when the Orlando Magic visit the San Antonio Spurs? Conversely, Guard Damian Lillard has been in a slump this month. Still, he should be able to turn things around in an emotional homecoming when the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Portland Trail Blazers in Wednesday’s nightcap.

To accompany our Suns vs. Nets player props, here are our NBA player props and best bets for Wednesday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Wednesday’s NBA player props

Rudy Gobert Over 14.5 rebounds vs. Mavericks (+140 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

bet365 is offering a 30% boost for one three-plus leg NBA SGP on Wednesday. Don't forget to use our bet365 bonus code!

This one is the perfect storm for Gobert to cash a plus-money prop. Over his last 10 games, the big man has averaged 14.3 boards, grabbing at least 15 in 10. That includes 17 rebounds against the Thunder on Monday. Gobert has 14 games with at least 15 rebounds this season, and he can get there again Wednesday.

In three matchups with Dallas in 2023-24, Gobert has averaged 13.3 boards, and he pulled down 17 in his last matchup with the Mavs. He averaged 14.5 boards in two matchups with the Mavs last season. Dallas allows the second most rebounds to opponents overall (55) and second most at home (55.4). To sweeten the deal, Dallas’ starting center, Dereck Lively II, is out with a broken nose, which means Gobert can crash the glass with authority.

This prop is set at 13.5 across our featured books, and the odds are as short as -130. We can get it at plus money at bet365 for just one rebound more, which is precisely what we’ll do.

Ayo Dosunmu Over 20.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Hornets (-111 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

With Patrick Williams out for at least two weeks and Zach LaVine out indefinitely, Dosunmu should continue to see increased run for the Bulls. He’s averaged 15.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists across 30 minutes over his last eight contests, good for 21.4 PRAs. He’s gone for at least 21 PRAs four times in that span, including Tuesday’s 21-point, five-rebound showing against the Toronto Raptors.

The Hornets allow the sixth most points and the fifth most triples to opponents. Dosunmu is a microwave scorer who can get hot on any given night, and tonight’s matchup should be fast-paced with plenty of scoring. In his recent eight-game stretch, Dosunmu has averaged 1.8 made three-pointers per game, including four against the Raptors. We’re taking the Over and betting that the young guard continues to provide a spark for the shorthanded Bulls.

Paolo Banchero Over 24.5 points vs. Spurs (-111 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Banchero has been on a heater to kick off the new year, averaging 25.8 points through 15 games in January. In those games, the second-year forward scored at least 25 points nine times, including three straight. Banchero went off for 36 points in Monday’s loss to Dallas, and he’s got an excellent opportunity to keep the momentum rolling Wednesday at San Antonio.

On the season, Banchero has averaged 24.7 points on the road compared to 21 at home. He’s scored at least 25 points in 19 games, including 12 on the road. The Spurs allow the fifth most points to opponents (121.4) overall and the third most at home (122.1). Banchero posted 27 points in his lone matchup against the Spurs a season ago. The reigning Rookie of the Year is hitting his stride, and we can get this prop at favorable -111 odds at FanDuel, while it’s offered at odds as short as -130 across our other best sportsbooks.

Damian Lillard Over 25.5 points vs. Trail Blazers (-120 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Who doesn’t love a good homecoming? Lillard faced the Trail Blazers in Milwaukee on Nov. 26 and finished with 31 points. He’ll return to Moda Center for the first time in another uniform on Wednesday, and we’re banking on another big performance.

It’s been a rocky month for Lillard, as he averaged 23.5 points on 38.9% shooting in January. He’s in a great spot to get right tonight as Portland allows the fifth-highest shooting percentage (49.5) and third-highest at home (49.9). Despite his January slump, Lillard has scored at least 26 points in five of his last nine contests. He posted 18 points against the Denver Nuggets on Monday, marking the 11th time he’s failed to score 20 points this season. He averaged 28.9 points and scored at least 26 points six times in games following the previous 10.

He’ll surely be motivated to play well in what should be an emotional return to the team he was with for 11 seasons. Take the Over.
