Best bets today from around the NBA.

A pair of star players and favorable matchups punctuate Sunday’s 11-game slate, and our NBA player props and best bets for Sunday are based on the best NBA odds.

Saturday’s carefree, three-game slate is behind us, and now we’re focusing on another huge, 11-game schedule for Sunday in the Association.

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks travel north to face the Indiana Pacers in a matchup that should feature a ton of scoring. Evan Mobley and the Cleveland Cavaliers get a phenomenal draw against the Washington Wizards on the road. The Atlanta Hawks host the Orlando Magic, and we’re counting on Jalen Suggs to be the next guard who excels against the Hawks’ generous defense. Finally, we’ll turn our attention to one of the league’s most electric players in Victor Wembanyama as his San Antonio Spurs face the Utah Jazz.

Here are our NBA player props and best bets for Sunday (NBA picks based on odds via our best NBA betting sites; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Sunday’s NBA player props

Luka Doncic Over 33.5 points vs. Pacers (-108 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With Joel Embiid out of commission, Doncic is the NBA’s leading scorer at a whopping 34.3 points per game. He’s scored at least 34 points in 25 of 48 appearances, dropping 32 or 33 in six more. Doncic averages slightly more points at home, but he’s gone for 39 and 35 in his last two road appearances.

The Pacers allow 122.2 points per game, the third most in the Association. The total for this game is 252, which is easily the highest on the slate. Indiana ranks second in pace, and Dallas is eighth.

We can expect a ton of scoring in this one, so of course we’ll take the Over for the league’s numero uno in that department.

Evan Mobley Over 27.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Wizards (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mobley has been great since returning to the Cavs’ lineup, and he’s even better now after shaking off rust and his minutes are no longer restricted. Mobley is averaging 15.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists over his last nine games, good for 28.5 PRAs. He posted at least 28 PRAs in six of those contests.

Can we still bet Mobley even though Jarrett Allen is healthy and playing well?

Allen averaged 18.3 points and 10.7 rebounds during that nine-game span. These guys work well together, and they co-exist just fine while sharing Cleveland’s frontcourt. Mobley produced 31 PRAs and Allen notched 23 the last time the Cavs faced the Wizards. Washington allows the most points and rebounds in 2023-24, which makes this an easy Over.

Jalen Suggs Over 14.5 points vs. Hawks (+320 via FanDuel)  ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What’s a good Best Bets article without a points prop for a guard facing the Hawks?

Until we lose on one of these wagers, we’ll keep going back to the well. Immanuel Quickley coasted to a cash for us on Friday, and Suggs can do the same on Sunday. His points prop is set at 10.5 across our best sports betting sites, but we’re taking the alt total for plus money.

Suggs scored 14 points on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons, and he was averaging 15.7 points over three games before the All-Star break. Atlanta allows the second most points per game (123.9) and the most at home (125.6). With Markelle Fultz still out, we’re counting on Suggs to take advantage of a juicy matchup.

Victor Wembanyama Over 4.5 steals + blocks vs. Jazz (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wemby became the second rookie to post a 5x5 game when he produced a 27/10/8/5/5 line against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. He also joined Michael Jordan as the only players in NBA history to tally five steals and five blocks in back-to-back games. The NBA Rookie of the Year odds runaway favorite is averaging 2.6 steals and 4.8 blocked shots over his last five outings. He provided at least five steals + blocks in three of those matchups.

Wembanyama is on an all-time heater defensively, but this prop gets better and better. The Jazz allow the most blocks per game to opponents (6.4) and the most steals (8.8), making this the best possible outing for a stud defender. Rather than focus on his scoring, rebounding, or PRAs, we’ll target one of Wembanyama's specialties for slightly more profitable odds.
