Tiger Woods PGA Championship Odds, Picks, and Best Bets for Return to Southern Hills
The PGA Championship returns to Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, OK, this week and Tiger Woods will tee it up as the defending champion at this venue. Below, we look at Tiger Woods' odds for the PGA Championship and offer up our picks and best bets.
Tiger Woods won the 2007 PGA Championship at Southern Hills CC by two strokes at -8. He was just one of five players to finish under par at a course that then measured 6,968 yards and played to a par of 70. Since then it has been lengthened to 7,556 but will still play to a par of just 70.
Tiger isn't among the betting favorites for what will be just his second competitive event since the 2020 Masters. However, he's still likely to be among the most watched and most bet golfers this week. As such, we'll focus exclusively on how to bet on Tiger Woods at the PGA Championship with a look at the odds from the top-rated U.S. sportsbooks along with our picks and best bets.

Tiger's History at Southern Hills Country Club
Woods won the 2007 PGA Championship by two strokes. He broke par in each of the final three rounds, including a tournament-best round of 7-under, 63 in Round 2.
Previously, Southern Hills hosted the 2001 U.S. Open, with Woods finishing T-12 at +3. He broke par in each of his final two rounds but wasn't able to properly recover from an opening round of +4, 74.

Woods' 47th-place finish at the Masters proved us all to be fools. There was never any chance of Tiger showing up, making his miraculous return to competitive golf from February 2021's horrific car accident in California, without knowing he would be able to make the cut at his favorite event and golf course. The surprise was his T-10 standing after the opening 18 holes.
It went south from there for Woods, as he closed out the Masters by going 74-78-78 to finish 47th. However, he has now had over an extra month of recovery away from tournament play, and he has been getting in some early practice at Southern Hills CC.

Now, sportsbooks have removed many of the early "free bet" options on Woods that we enjoyed at the Masters, such as to make the cut. They're treating him, now ranked 818th in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) much like any other competitor.
Will Tiger Woods Win the PGA Championship?
It's difficult as a golf fan to not bet on Tiger in the majors. Especially when we haven't seen him play a full round in over a month. We end up really heavily on emotional thinking such as 'well, he's Tiger.'
Considering the strength of the field and the form the rest of the true top contenders bring to Southern Hills, even the +7500 odds to win the PGA Championship don't carry enough value for a wise bet. I am, however, very interested in the +300 for a top-20 finish offered by PointsBet.
Woods has a significant course history advantage over most of this field with two prior major appearances at Southern Hills, including his most-recent PGA Championship win. It's also a considerably easier walk than at the Masters, which was a factor working directly against Tiger's surgically repaired leg over 72 holes around Augusta National Golf Club.
Best Bet: Top 20 (+300 via PointsBet)
Caesars Sportsbook is offering a low of +190 for Woods in the top-20 market. This further highlights the value available at PointsBet and makes this the best way to get some action on Woods at the PGA Championship.
