Boston fans left Fenway Park happy on Saturday, and we look at whether the home team can continue its offensive explosion on Sunday with our top Cubs vs. Red Sox player props and expert picks based on the best MLB odds.

Saturday proved to be a triumphant day for Boston sports fans. Not only did the Bruins seize a commanding 3-1 series lead, bolstering their Stanley Cup odds, but the Boston Red Sox delivered a resounding 17-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

As they return to Fenway Park on Sunday, the Red Sox aim to replicate their dominant performance, entering the game as -140 favorites, with the game slated for 7:10 p.m. ET (ESPN).

Will the Red Sox maintain their scorching form at the plate, or will the pressure of a nationally televised game pose a challenge for their predominantly youthful lineup?

Here are our best Cubs vs. Red Sox player props and MLB picks (odds via our best MLB betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Cubs vs. Red Sox expert picks

Jarren Duran Under 1.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐

Red Sox center-fielder Jarren Duran bounced back on Saturday from a recent cold spell at the plate, going 2-for-5 in the massive win. However, he's still batting just .179 with a .574 OPS during the last two weeks after getting off to a scorching-hot start to the campaign.

This profiles as the best bet for this game, as Duran's projections strongly skew toward him going Under 1.5 total bases on Sunday. Based on that data, we're getting around 28% positive expected value on this bet through these +115 odds.

Masataka Yoshida Under 1.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐

Masataka Yoshida is in a bit of a precarious position during his second season with the Red Sox. After signing a five-year, $90-million contract with Boston ahead of the 2023 campaign, Yoshida already appears to be out of favor with Red Sox manager Alex Cora.

Yoshida sat the previous five games before returning to the lineup on Saturday, and he did his best to force Cora to deploy him going forward. The designated hitter went 4-for-5 with three runs scored.

However, we're getting solid value on Yoshida to come back down to Earth on Sunday. Based on his projections, we're getting roughly 8.5% +EV on this bet through these -140 odds, which are among the longest across any of our best sports betting sites.

Best odds: -140 via Betway

Christopher Morel Under 1.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐

Christopher Morel kicked off the season as one of the Cubs' hottest hitters, picking up where he left off in 2023. However, he's cooled off significantly since then and has been struggling mightily at the plate in recent weeks.

Morel is hitting just .171 with zero home runs during the last two weeks of play, and he has the misfortune of facing Tanner Houck - one of baseball's best pitchers so far this year - on Sunday.

Boston's starting pitching has been truly elite this season, but its bullpen has also been very good, ranking in the top 10 in fWAR, ERA, and FIP.

One day after holding the Cubs to no runs on just five hits, Houck and Co. should once again give Chicago hitters fits on Sunday, and Morel will be at the center of those struggles.

Best odds: -140 via Betway
