⛳ RBC Heritage Picks & Predictions 2026: Scottie Scheffler Resounding Favorite For Signature Event

Scottie Scheffler (+350) is the heavy betting favorite in a Signature Event field not including Rory McIlroy for this week's RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Defending champion Justin Thomas returns to Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, S.C., as a top contender to repeat at the RBC Heritage following his dramatic playoff win over Andrew Novak last year. While Scottie Scheffler remains the betting favorite at +350 on the RBC Heritage odds, I'm looking at Thomas and Cameron Young to have a great week at the Tour's most iconic coastal layouts - they're both featured in my RBC Heritage predictions.

This signature event features a 72-man field with no cut and a $20-million purse. With Rory McIlroy resting after his Masters win, the 700 FedEx Cup points are up for grabs.

I'd expect to see McIlroy play next week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans with Shane Lowry before beginning his preparations for the year's second major as the new co-favorite by the PGA Championship odds.

💰 RBC Heritage picks & best bets

Scottie Scheffler outright winner (+350)

Nobody in golf is as consistent as Scheffler, so he's always a threat to win, but that's especially true in Hilton Head. Scottie is fresh off a solo second-place finish at the 2026 Masters, where he became the first player since 1942 to go bogey-free over the weekend at Augusta. This performance marked his eighth T-7 finish in his last nine major starts, proving he's once again the man to beat. Scheffler has also notoriously dominated in this tournament, finishing outside the top 10 (T-11) just once in three starts, winning the plaid jacket in 2024 after shooting 19-under.

Cameron Young prop bet: top five finish (+380)

After a T-3 finish at the Masters just days ago - one that saw him leading by two strokes early on Sunday - Young arrives at Hilton Head as arguably the hottest player in the field not named Scottie Scheffler. His run of four top-10 finishes in his last four starts suggests his game is completely dialed in. Not only has Young made the cut every time he's played Harbour Town, but he shot 12-under to finish solo third in 2022. At +380 for him to finish top five, that's an absolute steal.

Xander Schauffele prop bet: top five finish (+300)

Xander Schauffele is a sexy choice for a top-five finish at the 2026 RBC Heritage due to his high-floor consistency and elite ball-striking. He currently ranks 14th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: approach, an important metric for the small greens at Harbour Town Golf Links. His record at Hilton Head doesn't hurt, either, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in 2023 and a current streak of three consecutive top-10 finishes this season.

Justin Thomas prop bet: top 10 finish (+430)

Justin Thomas is a top-tier candidate for a top-10 finish this week, returning to Hilton Head as the defending champion. His victory here last year was defined by a surgical short game and elite wedge play, which are needed for a narrow course like Harbour Town Golf Links. Additionally, while his Masters finish was mediocre at best, his statistical profile shows he remains one of the premier scramblers on Tour, a skill that is vital for surviving a Pete Dye layout.
