Pac-12 Championship Title Odds, Picks, and 2022 Preview: Can the Bruins Rise to the Top?

Lincoln Riley has moved over to the conference, but rival UCLA is rising. Here the top Pac-12 odds and picks.

The Utah Utes will look to defend their first Pac-12 conference championship after defeating the Oregon Ducks 38-10 in December.

However, the Pac-12 looks more competitive than ever with the arrival of new USC head coach Lincoln Riley.

Pac-12 Conference Preview

UCLA to win Pac-12 (+1000)

UCLA improved mightily in 2021 during Chip Kelly's fourth campaign with the team. The Bruins went 8-4 overall, and quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson will return along with running back Zach Charbonnet, who rushed for 1,137 yards in 2021.

Veteran leadership will be UCLA's strong point. As will offense after the team finished second in the Pac-12 in total offense last campaign.

New defensive coordinator Bill McGovern will take over a lackluster unit that allowed 26.8 points per game. If McGovern can steadily improve the defense, the offense can certainly put the Bruins over the top.

The Bruins offer good value at this number.

USC Under 9.5 wins (+105)

Speaking of poor defense, the Trojans allowed 31.8 points per game in 2021. New head coach Lincoln Riley may bring energy, but his teams have never been known for defense.

The Trojans will undoubtedly boast a stellar offense under Riley's command, but five league road games and a matchup against Notre Dame will be tough to overcome.

Look for the Trojans to go Under this total as they adjust to Riley's scheme and struggle on the road.

Washington Over 7.5 wins (-105)

New head coach Kalen DeBoer takes over and hopes his team rebounds after a putrid 4-8 record in 2021. The offense was horrific, but it should improve under DeBoer's watch.

The Huskies' schedule is soft, which will help to kick-start their season. They avoid Utah and USC, and their opener is against Kent State.

The defense was solid in 2021, allowing just over 24 points per game. If that unit can improve or stay the same, the Huskies could exceed their win total.

Oregon State Over 4.5 wins (-110)

The Beavers clinched their first bowl appearance since 2013 in 2021 with a 7-6 record. They would lose to the Utah State Aggies 24-13 in the LA Bowl, but the appearance was still significant progress. Oregon State inexplicably beat eventual league champion Utah during the season, showing the team possesses the upside to compete in the Pac-12.

If the school can bottle up the talent it displayed in that game, the Beavers could make some noise in the conference this season.
