The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns clash at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, and we've got you covered for this showdown between the undefeated rivals with our expert Oklahoma vs. Texas prediction, derived from the college football odds provided by our best sports betting apps.

This edition of the Red River Rivalry will live up to the hype. Both the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns have run all over all comers en route to matching 5-0 records and respective No. 12 and No. 3 ranks in the AP Top 25.

The Sooners rank third in points (47.4) and ninth in yards (510) per game, while the Longhorns have outscored their opponents 109-30 the past three weeks and have a road victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide on their resume.

Here is our best Oklahoma vs. Texas prediction and our college football picks (odds via our best college football betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Oklahoma vs. Texas prediction: Week 6

Under 60.5 (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

The Oklahoma offense has looked great, except for when they’re challenged. They scored just 20 points against Cincinnati, and they managed only 28 in their win over the SMU Mustangs. When you look at where they rank nationally, a lot of their success is padded by their huge wins over Arkansas State, Tulsa, and Iowa State.

Meanwhile, the Longhorns’ defense has been phenomenal this season. They’re allowing just 290.8 yards per game, and they have held three consecutive opponents to 14 or fewer points.

The Sooners’ defense has been solid this season as well. They’ve played some terrible offenses, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that they have allowed just 54 points in five weeks. Quinn Ewers and running back Jonathon Brooks are going to provide problems for this unit, but it’s a group that is good enough to keep the scoring to a minimum.

Three of the Sooners’ five games have gone over 60, but in each of those contests, they scored at least 50. They’re not doing that on Saturday.

None of the Longhorns’ games have gone over 60. The one that was closest was their 34-24 win over Alabama. And remember, 28 of that game’s points were scored in the fourth quarter.

Four of the five best sports betting sites are offering this total at 60.5. The only one that isn’t, bet365, isn’t offering a better price for the 60 they currently have posted. Of the other four sportsbooks, three have the same price, while FanDuel’s price is slightly more expensive at -115.

DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars are all offering the same total and spread for the same odds. Therefore, you can feel comfortable going with any of them whether you’re betting just the total or looking to parlay.

Oklahoma vs. Texas odds analysis

The Longhorns opened as 7-point favorites, but the spread has dropped to 6.5, as 56% of bettors are backing the Sooners. With this type of support, we could see this number drop another half-point, but we wouldn’t expect it to go any lower than that. We don’t expect this to get back to the original number.

The total opened at 60.5, and that is where it has stayed despite 69% of bettors backing the Over. However, the total is listed at 60 at bet365, and it looks like it might move there at FanDuel.

Keep an eye on this one. If there is that much public support for the Over but the total drops anyway, then we’re even more confident in the Under.
