We comb through the slate on championship weekend in college football to find value in the Over/Under markets.

The scoring bonanza in ‘The Game’ helped us to a 2-1 finish on last week’s top Over/Under bets. What does the market provide in terms of value for our favorite total plays on championship weekend across college football?

Below, we look at the Over/Under bets of college football Week 14 (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, and BetMGM).

Top Over/Under Bets of College Football Week 14

  • LSU-Georgia Over 50.5 (-105 via DraftKings)
  • Clemson-North Carolina Over 63.5 (-105 via DraftKings)
  • Purdue-Michigan Under 51.5 (-108 via FanDuel)

Top Over/Under NCAAF Week 14 Predictions

LSU-Georgia Over 50.5 (-105) ★★★★

If you’re giving up 38 points to Texas A&M’s offense in 2022, I’ve got questions about the state of your defense. That’s where LSU is following last week’s 38-23 loss to the Aggies, heading into the SEC Championship Game against Georgia.

Games involving Georgia have cleared 50.5 total points eight of 12 times this season, typically as a result of the Bulldogs’ elite offense having their way with little help from the opposition required. LSU’s offense has had its moments this season, but its consistency has to be a concern going up against Georgia’s top-ranked defensive efficiency in the country this weekend.

Georgia has averaged 38.7 points per game this year and should operate in peak form on the big stage. LSU should need only 14-17 points to help Georgia push this game Over the total. DraftKings offers the Over 50.5 at -105 odds, which is favorable compared to -110 at FanDuel and BetMGM.

Clemson-North Carolina Over 63.5 (-105) ★★★★

The ACC Championship Game is a defense-optional environment this season as both Clemson and North Carolina have holes on defense that can be exploited by the opposing offense in this matchup.

In North Carolina’s case, stating that there are holes defensively undersells the situation. UNC has allowed 30.9 points per game and 452.5 yards per game to its opponents. The Tar Heels won the ACC Coastal despite the worst defensive efficiency in the ACC (116th in FBS).

On the flip side, North Carolina’s 13th-ranked offensive efficiency in the country — which led to a scoring average of greater than 35 points per game on the season — is going to be a challenge for a Clemson defense that was just torched by South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler. The total is set at 63.5 across the board, but DraftKings offers the most favorable odds on the Over at -105 compared to -110 at BetMGM and -112 at FanDuel.

Purdue-Michigan Under 51.5 (-108) ★★★

There should be no doubting the greatness of this Michigan defense after what the Wolverines did to C.J. Stroud and the Buckeyes last weekend in Columbus. Despite the Boilermakers’ No. 32-ranked offensive efficiency, I don’t buy the notion of Purdue being able to do much against Michigan in a win-and-in scenario for Jim Harbaugh’s squad and the College Football Playoff.

Based on a 51.5-point total and 16-point spread, Purdue’s implied team total sits around 17.5 for the Big Ten Championship Game. After scoring three points against Iowa and 17 against Northwestern within the past month, the Boilermakers seem unlikely to clear that implied team total against the sixth-ranked defensive efficiency in the country.

Though Michigan is a threat to score into the 40s against pretty much anybody, its games have gone only 3-8-1 on Overs this year. Purdue hasn’t allowed an opponent to eclipse 24 points since Oct. 22. With the total at 51.5 across the board, FanDuel offers the best value on the Under at -108 odds. DraftKings and BetMGM list the Under at -110.
