The Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen face off during college football's only Week 15 game, and we have you covered with our Army vs. Navy prediction based on the best college football odds.

Last season, the Army Black Knights and Navy Midshipmen defied expectations by unleashing surprising offensive firepower, breaking a streak of low-scoring games that spanned over 10 years. Despite this offensive surge, oddsmakers are playing it safe for the upcoming game, initially predicting a modest 28.5 points and then revising their projection even lower, hinting at an expectation for a low-scoring showdown between the two teams.

With a three-game winning streak, the Black Knights arrive in better form, contrasting the Midshipmen who faced a tough defeat, conceding 59 points to the SMU Mustangs in their recent game. Both teams rank within the top 16 in rushing yards per game. Will Saturday witness another low-scoring clash, or might one of the offenses shine brightly?

In conjunction with our Army-Navy parlay for Saturday, here is our best Army vs. Navy prediction and our college football picks (odds via our best college football betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Army vs. Navy prediction: Week 15

Under 27.5 (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

When Armed Forces teams meet, all season-long statistics can go out the window.

Earlier this season, the Black Knights handed the Air Force Falcons a 23-3 loss, while the Midshipmen fell 17-6 to that same team. The Falcons ended the season averaging 26.3 points per game, while both teams allowed over 25 per game this year.

The main reason why these games always seem to go Under is because all these teams do is run the ball. The Black Knights are third in the country in rushing attempts per game, while the Midshipmen rank fifth. Additionally, each team is averaging fewer than 20 passing attempts per game.

The clock will run all game long, so the only way this goes Over is if one team finds a way to exploit a weakness of the opposing defense. However, both teams are so used to seeing their opponents’ style of play in practice that it’s hard to imagine any consistency from either offensive unit.

The easiest way to compare these two teams is to look at what they did against the Falcons. They each held a team averaging over 266 rushing yards per game to fewer than 160. That shows just how built these defenses are to handle the triple-option.

Though last year’s game broke a streak of 16 straight Unders, the game also went to double overtime. Expect a new Under streak to start on Saturday

FanDuel offers the highest number of our best sports betting apps, but for -120 for the Under, there’s no reason to play there. Every other major sportsbook offers a total of 27.5, with three offering -110.

We don’t anticipate this line to move much, but the FanDuel number should drop before kickoff. Because of that, there may be a chance to get Under 28 or 27.5 for a price better than -110. We’d wait until that number drops at FanDuel before wagering, just in case the price is significantly better than what’s offered elsewhere.

Army vs. Navy odds analysis

The Black Knights opened as 2.5-point favorites. With 61% of bettors backing the Black Knights, the spread has grown to three at two of our best sports betting sites. Considering how low the total is, the spread won’t likely become much larger, no matter how much support the Black Knights garner.

The total opened at 28.5. It stayed at FanDuel but dropped to 27.5 at other best sportsbooks. Despite the history of this rivalry, 55% of bettors are backing the Over. Because the public supports the Over, don’t expect this number to move much before kickoff.
