Fanatics Sportsbook, one of our best sports betting sites, announced Thursday that it has become the newest Kansas sports betting app. The Sunflower State is the 17th state where bettors can access its wagering platform.

Fanatics is continuing its rapid migration away from the PointsBet platform, which had been part of the Kansas sports betting scene since it launched legal sports wagering in September 2022. This past summer, Fanatics Sportsbook bought PointsBet's U.S.-based operations for $225 million and has since been on a blitz to replace the PointsBet product with the Fanatics Sportsbook brand.

Fanatics Sportsbook has been active in its migration plans, launching in five states in the last few months, including Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New York, and North Carolina.

With the Kansas launch now realized, Fanatics is nearly done transitioning away from PointsBet. Illinois and New Jersey remain the major markets where it has yet to go live. The launch in Illinois seems imminent after receiving a management services provider license from the Illinois Gaming Board earlier this month.

Smaller markets like Louisiana and Wyoming are still working toward a Fanatics Sportsbook rebrand.

Signing up

Like other Fanatics Sportsbook jurisdictions, the sports betting provider has made it easy to access its brand. As of Thursday, Fanatics Sportsbook is available for iOS, Android, and desktop download. It will be the newest of the Kansas sports betting apps.

Once the app is downloaded, those who had a PointsBet account in the Sunflower State can access their email, log-in information, balances, open bets, bonus bets, and reward balance and have them ported to their new Fanatics account.

The timing, while not perfect with March Madness well underway, will still allow new users to get in on the action for both the NCAA Men's and Women's basketball championship tournaments.

The Fanatics Kansas promo provides $1K in Bonus Bets for the first 10 days of operation in the Sunflower State market, just one of many available Kansas sportsbook promos.

The Kansas market

Kansas is the 35th most populous state in America, with 2.944 million residents. While home to just one professional sports team, Sporting Kansas City of MLS, the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs and MLB's Kansas City Royals, both of which play their home games in Missouri, have a passionate fanbase in the Sunflower State.

Since its launch, Kansas has been a middle-of-the-road state in terms of overall sports betting activity. In February, Kansas's best sportsbooks took in $203 million in wagers, and state regulators reported $3.1 million in revenue last month.

Fanatics becomes the sixth Kansas sports betting app in the market.

What Kansas residents can expect

Fanatics Sportsbook brings with it to the Kansas market enormous brand recognition thanks to its online sports apparel business, which continues to be a dominant force. Thanks to its apparel business, the company has a huge customer database, a percentage of which it hopes to convert to sports bettors in the state.

Fanatics now has decent experience catering to bettors in some of the country's biggest and best sports wagering jurisdictions. It also offers an intriguing Welcome Bonus of $1,000 in Bonus Bets to use in its first 10 days of operation.

Fanatics Kansas users will also become eligible to participate in the company's superb "FanCash" Rewards Program, which allows users to accumulate up to 5% cash back on all bets. Users can then use the Rewards for future Bonus Bets or for Fanatics-branded apparel at its industry-leading online store.
